Vista 20P Zone Descriptor Programming12 Aug 2007 18:47 GMT11
I recently added an RF sensor at zone 37 to my Vista 20P system. I was
able to program all but the descriptors for the zone.  I can't figure
out how to enter the alpha descriptors "Garage-Outside." According to
the programming manual, the codes should be 089 (garage) and 140

I am having some difficulty understanding how to properly program a DSC
Power 832 panel with 2 partitions sharing a common entry door.  This is in a
duplex with an outside door to a hallway.  Each apartment has it's own entry
door off of this common hallway.  I have two LCD ...

Lurker here. I recently picked up an Ademco 1023 (yes I know its old and not
feature rich) to alert me when my shed is tampered with. Only one door and
one window. The system works fine, the only problem is the key pad does not
want to work at all...If I use a key switch, no ...
Northern N1000 II EOL10 Aug 2007 21:47 GMT4
I was wondering what folks here are doing to help customers with bad
Northern N1000 II panels now that the product is EOL. I had a weird failure
on one where the internal timer failed. The door open pulse lasted over a
minute instead of the default 10 seconds. Factory tech ...
Attention Pete Suica10 Aug 2007 14:41 GMT7
Replacement board came today, and it works. So the original DSC 4020CF panel
was bad out of the box. To those DSC guys lurking, Your QC SUCKS, and your
"tech support" may as well not exist.

I have a Moose Z1100 System I that was never monitored and would now like to
have it monitored. It was connected to a phone line, but it does not appear

saw an earlier thread from April 2007 that talked about ...
690 Programming Service?10 Aug 2007 00:05 GMT4
Is there someone who can program a Communicator PROM for my Ademco 4160

supply the blank part.  Are there any other fields of data that have to go

I have installed a Ademco 998PI/998EXPI unit. it detects motion fine
(LED glows on any motion) - but does not trigger an alarm.. is there
some pet sensitivity threshold I can adjust? Or something else which
is causing the problem?  When I open doors the alarm works fine. I

I have a Ademco Vista-10SE unit where everything works perfectly from
the alpha keypads, but when i set the unit to Chime (sound on door
open without alarm), it does not chime - even though the display shows
that the door has been opened.
DSC 4020 CF08 Aug 2007 04:11 GMT14
I have a new 4020CF commercial fire panel V 3.54 that won't answer a
download call. Verified connections, polarity, voltages, and programming
with no luck. DSC tech support is clueless. Anyone had a similar problem?
