I noticed in my telco box that the red/green goes to the alarm panel first, then the rest of the house is wired off two other wires that return from the alarm panel. I am guessing that this is so that the alarm can isolate the rest of the phones in the house and dial out

I have an older (20 years) home security system in the home I purchased. It is a Guardware CU-22 with perimeter loop, and pressure pads under carpet areas. I just replaced the siren drivers board and got the exterior sirens yelping, but cannot not seem to get the carpet

Seems like the motion detectors in low traffic area or no traffic areas have to be replaced more often then the ones in active areas. Has anyone else experienced this? Dave
