I'm told that when I get the error "panel disconnected after 30 seconds of inactivity", during the "Speed Change" phase that it's due to noisy lines or digital lines. I'm using a Cardinal MB24EX with "standard modem type" listed in XP.

I need a 360 that I can mount at 25' high and have coverage on the ground at 100' diameter (50' radius from unit). Preferably dual-tech because it's in a non-climate controlled metal bldg and two of the microwave zone will likely intersect.

Why do manufacturers give us resistors that are made of a different metal than the copper wire we are using? High voltage electricians know that you can't connect an aluminum and copper wire directly to each other. Roofers know you can't nail copper flashing with aluminum nails ...

was pulling out an older burg fire system today and when i went to remove some heat detectors which were attached to it found several which had no wiring to them.. looks like the fire alarm experts strike again in Pa.
