What is the speed of the between a DSC alarm panel (like a PC5010) and a

An Engineer's Analysis of Santa Claus05 Jan 2007 05:21 GMT9
Engineers take all the fun out of Christmas...
There are approximately two and
one-half billion children (persons under 18) in the world. However,
since Santa does not visit children of Muslim, Hindu, Jewish or Buddhist

Well, it looks like the client rep is drooling over some Bosch gear now,
which is fine by me.  Anybody got recommendations on who to get it from?

Gemini P3200 - * ZONES FAULTED ***04 Jan 2007 17:55 GMT66
My Gemini P3200 system recently started telling me that all of my
Entry/Exit zones are faulted.  No wiring changes or other changes at
the panel have occured.   Although, I am not sure if it caused the
problem, this condition seemed to occur after I tried to enable Chime 2

Florida Statute According to RLB03 Jan 2007 19:29 GMT123
Nice try Robert. Your last response in the "free estimate" thread needs some
medication. Hopefully it isn't contagious. My "IT" person will be in Tuesday
and I will find out. If you sent some sort of virus, and after our latest
communications, I will only suspect you did it ...
Changing the call list03 Jan 2007 06:17 GMT6
I've run across this problem several times in the past, and have never found
a fool proof method.
The alarm went off this morning. The owner's cell phone was called. He is
fourth of fifth on the call list, yet nobody else was called. He's only 1000

I need two IR low profile cameras (under eve mount) something that will
automatcally adjust to light, see 50 feet, and see in almost total darkness.
A wide field of view, and small size  if possible. Something in the 200
dollar range for a project. Thanks in advance
Radionics D5200 Replacement/Backup03 Jan 2007 01:35 GMT1
I have a couple of questions for the group about the Radionics 5200
programmer. I am a programmer that is also interested in alarm/security
hardware. As such I am looking for interesting projects to occupy my time.
After recently purchasing a D5200 programmer, I was struck by the ...
Coax as data cable03 Jan 2007 00:23 GMT32
So I go to this site to program a DiBos where a Samsung Digital Watchdog
was. I notice something hanging off the back besides regular BNC connections
that I originally thought was a mike connection. It looked like a DIY job
with screw on BNC connectors instead of 2 or 3 piece ...

Pelco Spectra Domes02 Jan 2007 06:52 GMT28
Ok, I have a bunch of Spectra Dome cameras installed.  Mostly outdoors, but
a few indoors.  All but a very few are in outdoor environmental pendants.
The RS422 seems to be the first thing to fail, but I have been having
various samera issues on most sites starting at 2-3 years ...
