I just bought a home with a Commander 2000 installed and ready to go
(power, sensors, siren).  I'm toying with the idea of using it without
a subscription or monitor service but not sure exactly what that might
entail.  The previous owner was using ADT.  I'm not too thrilled with

Looking for better pricing than the 25-30 they want locally for alarm
monitoring. Found many doing a Google search but can't determine who is
good/bad.

I would like to install four security cameras around the outside of my
house, but I have some questions before I start buying equipment...
1) The cameras I looked at, all have 60' cables attached to them. I
would have thought that the camera would have a 'stub' cable of 12

I want to get rid of my land line and wire my alarm panel to a cell
phone. My idea was to get a prepaid cell phone,  a docking station and
a ups. After researching, the DocknTalk website suggests that their
dock won't work on security systems, fax machines, etc. because

Have an alarm customer who i rigged up one of those Door Bell Fone units
which allows the house phone to ring and answer front door when door bell
button is pushed. Customer orders DSL 3 different Verizon Techs come on site
and can not figure out why they can not get DSL signal ...

I recently picked one of these up and want to use it to where it will
dial my cell phone.  I got that part of it to work, but I cannot have
a two conversation nor hear the alarm codes.  It just dials the number
and does nothing even I hit * and then it hangs up after 14 secs and

Can/will anyone here be kind enough to recommend a good 3 wire AC smoke
detector?   I want to replace our 2 wire system but there are so many on the
market now, I was hoping to find out what you guys like.  Thanks
