Took over one of these panels and seem to be locked out. Does anyone know of
a back door?

Well, I eliminated another prospective employee.  Sad.  If he had told the
truth on the application he might have had a chance to explain, but when the
driving report he brings in doesn't match up with what comes in on the
background check that is bad enough, but when felonies ...

I have an Ademco Vista 15 alarm system installed in my house. However,
I
seem to be having some minor problems with the system, which I'm sure
have a solution, however, not that I've been able to figure out.

Upon power-up I get a system trouble of "Fire Bell trouble". I believe
the system checks for a wired sounder device for fire alarm upon
powering up... I guess it warns of a short or open in this circuit.
QUESTIONS:

Is there a way to have the lights on in the Window of the Lynx-R? I see a
Lights On and a Lights Off button on the Keypad, but looking through my
manual, it really doesn't explain clearly what this is for or how to turn it
on or off.

Has anyone had this problem or been able fix it?
After the download code in the panel as been changed from default, we are unable to access panel.
We have even dialed into tech support Concord Express panel.   Uploaded panel and changed download code,
while on line.  After hanging ...

Have Seen 2 good ones this week in Pittsburgh.
Was at a pastors home hooking up his computers to his new cable modem and he
got the cable  companys phone service and the cable salesman told him that
most panels did not work on the cable companys telephone network. Of course

Whats the latest on Voip and alarm systems?  I use Ademco and have an
oppertunity to sell systems to a company that sellls voip.  Trouble
is, Ademco Tech says their systems will not support voip.   Any idears
or other equipment I can buy to get systems t work on VOIP.  Thanks.

I'm using Siamese wire.  The 12 volt wires are a black one, and a clear one.
Copper wire in each. Which one is the preferred ground wire?

We have a svc mgr with 14 years experience. His duties includ:
performing service
overseeing service
lock and strike installations on access control jobs

What security system is needed for a 2-story building with a
parking-lot surrounding it? What are the necessary components?
Approximate costs?
Expert answer would be appreciated indeed....

Did anyone else experience a rash of Ademco 5800 wireless issues, on Sat
Aug 19?
We are in the San Francisco CA Bay Area and have numerous subscribers
with "check 09" issues.

The label for the bell circuit Pos+ / Neg-  on the terminal strip my be labelled wrong.
Today one of my installers had a bell trouble that would not go away and blew out a siren driver.
The label on the terminal strip was reverse of what is on the PCB.
Be sure and double check.

Just a warning to steer clear of this company.  I sent them a letter to
cancel my account after having paid them for three years.  They claim
they never received it.  So they re-upped me for a year at their 29.95
rate.  Just a worthless company from top to bottom.

Does anyone have any old Ademco 422 and 430 direct wire equipment?
