I am designing a full security system for a high end jewelry store.  I
have the cctv system all set, but the BA system I feel like I am
missing something. I have the usuall stuff: UL listed panel, safe
contact, safe vibration contact, motions, cell back up.  I feel like I

Ultrasonic Sensors23 May 2006 10:41 GMT48
My need is to monitor the perimeter of an outdoor area.
I am considering ultrasonic sensors to act as an intrusion monitor.
They need to be mounted near ground level.

Ademco Panels?23 May 2006 07:55 GMT51
We haven't installed Ademco Panels but it sounds like quite a few of you
do.... why?  what are the pros and cons? Are they user-friendly?  Reliable?
How is their tech support and return policy? What are their best products?
Thanks for the feedback!

the codes). The panel itself does not have any dealer specific
information on it, which pretty much stops me from inquiring with a
How many times did it beep?  23 May 2006 06:52 GMT15
Three so far.... four now...... um five now.....
Never mind.  You are too stupid to own an alarm.  Rip it off the wall, and

Electric door bump thingie22 May 2006 22:01 GMT27
Working on a custom maglock project. I need something like a 12v solenoid to
"bump" a hidden door opened after the maglock releases. There's no visible
means of opening the door from outside the room. Just has to bump the door
opened enough so you can grab the door to open it.

Selling Surplus Equipment18 May 2006 18:10 GMT4
Are there any companies or websites that buy up used/surplus security
equipment? It seems that our pile of used equipment is taking up about
twice the space as our inventory items.
