In other words if the car drove up to where I work my alarm would

Interesting Applications26 Feb 2006 21:55 GMT22
Recordable voice sirens are one of my favorites.  The Elk 120 is a little
pricey, but you can do some neat stuff with it with its 4 voice channels and
4 inputs.  I have one at a school that blasts a message throughout the
building whenever anybody arms the alarm as a warning.  It ...

Wireless Motion Sensor slow to start26 Feb 2006 11:04 GMT6
I have a wireless motion sensor and I have tried setting on my alarm
and then starting in the back of the room to see how far I can get.  I

EOL's25 Feb 2006 21:37 GMT163
Today I had a strange occurrence with a EOL. The system was not reporting
the zone open even though I was holding the door open and looking at the
keypad. After a period of troubleshooting found that the 3.74k resistor was
now 5.86k. Replaced with new and all is well. This is the ...

What low-end/high-end DVRs have you found to be reliable with
customer-friendly applications? What manufacturers have you been
disappointed with?

dd 1484 (second request)24 Feb 2006 15:19 GMT1
Hi, I'm looking for a Napco DD1484 in working condition to use as a
slave dialer in an existing system. I know I can probably use a DSC
panel to do this but I'd really prefer a 1484 as I have the Pro 410 and
can burn the chip. If anyone has one they'd like to part with please
Safe Room Door Lock24 Feb 2006 13:48 GMT26
Gotta do a safe-room door lock...I'm thinking a 600lb mag lock? The door
will be semi hidden and swing towards the opening person/side. No other
hardware will be visible on the door...it's in a MBR closet and will have
shelves on it. Heavy wooden door.

Yard signs23 Feb 2006 05:50 GMT18
I am about to run out of yard signs.  The place I got them last time is
gone.  Where is a good inexpensive place to get yard signs?  What prices
have you paid recently?
