Camcorder as video source for 24x7 monitoring?11 Jan 2006 00:14 GMT3
I need to videotape activity (vandalism) some 200 feet away, 24x7, for
about two months, from two camera positions.  Standard mini-DV
camcorders with 20x zoom lenses would provide the best image, but I
wonder if I'm asking for trouble - has anyone tested the duty-cycle on

I have two DMP alarm panels. I have an XR200 and a XRSuper6 - both in
different buildings approximately 100' away.

Once again It was a pleasure to disconect a DSC 832
panel which was misbehaving  this makes 12 power 832 I have replaced because
bad install or panel just going insane for no reason.When DSC first came out

Our home has old dictograph heat detectors in every room, and every
closet. I want to start replacing some of the heat detectors with smoke
detectors, but the wiring in place is 2 wire looped from the panel then

At least once per day, the speaker of our alarm system will emit a loud
pop.  It's just a single pop.  It sounds as if the speaker is releasing
a buildup of static electricity or something.  The systems is about 8

Once again It was my delight to pull from service a bunch of worthless and
do nothing but false ESL 500 series smokes. .Although these were close to 12
years old the Systems sensor smokes in this friends fire station have never
