I recently purchased a home that has an Ademco Vista-15P panel and one keypad installed. The local company that installed the system has set his own lockout code and refuses to unlock the panel or reset to factory default.

Took out a DS /radionics panel today at a machine shop and replaced it with a ademco panel the shop ower took the old radionics panel and placed it in the 50 ton shop press and put it in a box to ship back to Bosch.to show them what he thought of there product

My home is prewired for a security system and it appears that there are single wires going to each window/door. I am confused, though, how a single wire can detect the state of a trigger on the end when there is no common ground?
