Fuse Question05 Oct 2005 04:12 GMT18
I think I know the answer to this but I wanted to run it past you guys.  Is
it OK to substitute a 1amp 25volt glass fuse with a 1A 250V fuse of the same
size (5x20mm)?  It seems to be harder to find exact replacements these days.
Thanks,  Joe

What I want to do is install a hidden camera with a recorder and set
out some bait in front of the camera.  Of course, my budget is limited,

Datalogger to Test False Alarms on Sensor04 Oct 2005 04:02 GMT24
We have a motion sensor that is giving false alarms every few months.   We

it that would record time of day for any triggers on the ...

signal.
On defeating alarm systems03 Oct 2005 15:02 GMT8
Seems to me this is an; insurance, amount of security -vs- cost, and "you
get what you pay for" thing.
In my experience, it seems *very* rare that an alarm system is defeated. And
those who know how to do this already know it and will continue to share
Unusual solutions for false alarms03 Oct 2005 06:10 GMT3
Some systems just can't be fixed using normal repair methods.
We had a customer who called and said their system was not working.
So I went out and saw they had installed a new door, and they just needed a
magnet installed. I installed the magnet and checked the rest of the system.

"Vulgar" zone words sent to monitoring?02 Oct 2005 22:41 GMT34
If I were to program in a few custom vulgar zone names on my Vista 10SE
(6139 keypad), would these words be transmitted to the monitoring center if
that zone had an alarm? Or just the zone codes?
(I wouldn't want to offend some sweet thing working late at night...)
