Seeking alarm system with wired remote reset switch rather than keypad30 Apr 2005 19:23 GMT12
My recently-failed alarm system was armed and disarmed using a small
toggle swich near the entry, and reset (siren stopped and returned to
armed or unarmed, depending on the toggle switch position) using a well
hidden but conveniently located momentary contact switch. Also next to

Can I add a CO2 detector onto a fire zone that already contains 2 smoke
alarms?
I assuming that since they are both 24/7 sensors I can do this.

Edwards is charging $538.00 CDN plus tax for a smoke card on an Edwards
6500.  This is a *single zone* card!  "Highway robbery" if you ask me.
There's only about $14.00 in components on the board for Pete's sake.

I have a DSC 832 and am getting a a Trouble Code.  When I do a *2, the
Trouble code is "1" (Service Required).  Then I press "1" to get the
specific trouble condition and it says "3" (General System Trouble).
The manual describes this as:

Instead of buying a cellular backup system, I'm considering protecting
my phone line from easy cuts. The line comes to my house approx 15' off

On a recent installation we used 2-microwave/pir, ceiling mount units
in a commercial bank lobby (about 40'x80').  The units are spaced about
20' apart.  They seemed to work well at first, but soon started to
