Paradox Spectra06 Dec 2004 23:47 GMT39
Any feed back on the Paradox Sprectra panel. I don't know anything about
this product. All I remember is that Paradox went away down here for a while
and then resurfaced. I am going to be monitoring and servicing 210 of these
and unforturately was not part of the installation ...

Do you wrap bare wires around screw terminals, or add spade lugs to the ends
first?
I have an opinion...
Although spade lugs might look sharp, having replaced zillions of similar

Just installed my Lynx-R system today, went off without a hitch. (sort

How does the Intellisense FG 730 stand up with respect to nuisance
alarms and overall performance. I need to replace a couple of DSC
units that have become unreliable. If not the FG 730, what do you
recommend?
Need help with NAPCO system05 Dec 2004 06:53 GMT2
I just bought a house with a NAPCO security system and didn't get any codes
from the previous owner. I think the keypad is a 1016e from the pictures. Is
there any way to reset the system to factory defaults or enter a dealer code? I
was wanting to use the system, but am hesitant to ...

I'm ready to buy and install (I'll install it myself) the Ademco Vista
15P alarm kit for a friend of mine and I have a few questions.  Yes!
I'm a newbie (!) but I did my homework... a lot of reading on the web
and on this group.
Wire terminations04 Dec 2004 03:46 GMT12
How do you professionals terminate multiple PIR's, Glass Breaks at the
panel?  Obviously you can't put multiple wires under one set of screw
terminals. Do you purchase terminal blocks?

Simon Wireless Reliability03 Dec 2004 23:29 GMT1
Got any Simon mega dealers in here?
I've got an application that I think might be ideally suited to a Simon.
The only Simons I have in service are from a small company I bought out.
They don't give me a lot of trouble, but the few service calls I have had
Is this ASA?03 Dec 2004 16:49 GMT7
I'm not sure I'm in the right place. Every link I click on is full of
good, solid information given in a courteous, professional manner.
Everyone's playing nice. Has something changed, or am I in the wrong
place? ;)
ademco vista-20 open circuit, help03 Dec 2004 15:33 GMT16
Last night we woke up to a beeping sound of both keypads.  "OPEN
CIRCUIT" was displayed on one of them.   I wasn't able to clear it so
I went downstairs and unplugged the system and disconnected the
battery.  The following morning I plugged it back in, OC cleared, but
Magnasphere Switches03 Dec 2004 14:20 GMT16
Are these switches in common use, or is their use growing? Or, are they just

See the small pdf at http://www.nascominc.com/magnasphere.htm
(I have no connection to this company whatsoever.)
