I moved into a new house, and got an alarm system as part of it.  I've
never had one, so I thought I would try it out first with just the
audible, and decide later if I really want to pay for monitoring
service.

I am in need of a dongle for a Schlage 5850 System, the one I had died. The
system was also known as a Westinghouse 5850. The Program is DOS based. If

In my house we use a Westec 5000 alarm system. It is a beautiful system with
many features, it's just old, nearly impossible to get serviced, and very

We recently purchased a home with a Moose Z900 control panel but were not
supplied the master access code to enter the programming mode to reset the
CODES (purchased under foreclosure).  Is there an easy way to reset the
master code so we can use our alarm system? Any help/info ...

I just replaced my old Honeywell alarm system with a new Caddx NX 8E
system. I'm wondering whether my existing smoke detector would be
compatible with the new Caddx alarm panel. The smoke detector runs on
12 volts DC and draws 125 mA. It has normally open contacts. Off hand

What will my interior Motion Detectors be with out a chime.  1140 I had
1130. but the chime goes off each walk down the hall.

Looking for a good installer in DFW (Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex) for a
remote start alarm install in a 02 Astro that has OEM keyless entry and

I just moved into a new house with a security system installed.  I want to
have it monitored.  I called the installer to get the install code but they
won't give it to me and told me that another installer will "default" the
system.  On top of that,  they never even hooked up the ...

I have just replaced the pcb on a DSC 5010
I think I may have addressed the keypads improperly, all to the same
address, and now they are not responding.
How can I default the addresess on the keypads?

While helping a neighbor put up plywood, her brother was telling me about his
