It's the 4th of July here, so happy 4th to all the Americans on the list.

yes, many pets run off around the 4th of July, some never to return.
Protect them from the noise!

I can see this group has turned into alt.goofy.postings.  What can we do to git shed of the political and knucklehaid crowd?

Is there a natural enemy to stinging nettles ?
 I have been using a hula hoe on them this year and hoping the
destruction I am raining on them will have the desired effect of
eventually no nettles...

Who here can advise me on how to stack up all the 4-12" chunks and end-
cuts left over from cutting firewood? I mean all the triangles,
wedges, random knots, slices and other chunks. I've tried to stack
them (in earlier attempts) very carefully onto palettes in a nice neat

Will a BB gun do any good to get rid of racoons?  I really do not want
to kill them, but they need to move on to anywhere except around my
buildings.  I had one come in the barn and it never saw me until I
gave it a good poke with a manure fork.  That one has never returned,

I've been looking into getting an official Organic Certification for our
new property and what a quagmire it's turning out to be.
Unless I can get in writing from the previous owners that no pesticides
were used on the land, it's a 3 year waiting period before I can qualify

Finally, an envelope with Payment in large red bold type printed on it
from the Treasury Dept. My stimulus check? No, a form letter saying I
should receive the check by the 20th. That is, unless I don't ... in which
case I should wait 6 (six) weeks and contact them.
