| It was a very good year... | 24 Mar 2008 10:31 GMT | 3 |
According the the Capital Press, Oregon's agricultural sales in 2007 totalled $4.89 billion. That's up substantially from 2006. With the commodity price runup in early 2008, the year might be even better. Maybe. Some of the price runup has been from speculators pumping money

I got ten staw bales, nice fresh firmly packed staw bales from a farmer. I have a garden. Despite using it as mulch, do you have another idea? Helen

| Chainsaws | 23 Mar 2008 22:01 GMT | 19 |
I'm thinking about buying my father a new chainsaw to replace his worn out old Craftsman. I don't know anything about chainsaws to be honest, but I have gathered that Husqvarna and Stihl are two top contenders.

| Is this possible? | 23 Mar 2008 19:23 GMT | 9 |
A couple of the windows in the new place need replaced eventually but for now I'd just like to fix them enough to keep the condensation out. They are the old aluminum frame ones. There is a guy on the craigslist who claims he has a way of doing it but he wants to be paid for the

| Why is it..... | 19 Mar 2008 22:56 GMT | 5 |
.....that the minute Himself leaves the place, the toilet/garden/washing machine/stock water runs out? He drives out in my truck for 2 nights away. I wave goodbye and decide to go to the toilet. I flush and the cistern makes that funny noise that means

| New Place Update | 18 Mar 2008 16:27 GMT | 25 |
It's a mad scramble to get some orchard pruning done in between rain storms to beat the spring and getting the interior done enough to move in. We've ripped out the carpets to find some sub-floor rot so we've been cutting out the bad pieces and patching it. Fortunately the joints ...

| Buying some land.. eventually. | 17 Mar 2008 18:10 GMT | 59 |
Hey, all. This will sound like a strange situation, and it is a bit odd probably. My family of 5 (total) are finally in a position to be able to save a bit of money, and it so happens that her cousin and her family want to do the same thing as us, buy some land in the country

Hi, you all. I didn't pick up the many leaves on my property last fall. After the snow melted, I discovered that they are all still there. It is such a mess!

| Rural...I'm from Michigan | 16 Mar 2008 23:51 GMT | 68 |
I'm new in here. I saw the "rural" banner, and since I live in a rural part of the state of Michigan, I thought I'd come in. Is this a forum for "rural" residents? Jack.

| Synthetic oil for chainsaws? | 16 Mar 2008 20:48 GMT | 7 |
I have a Stihl chainsaw which takes 50:1, a McCulloch which takes 40:1, and a string trimmer which takes 32:1. In the process of web research to find a way to avoid having to keep three premixes around, I learned of an oil type called 'one-mix', which apparently can be
