Reliable used pick-up trucks13 Jul 2007 13:05 GMT12
I am looking to buy a small to medium used pick-up truck between now
and next May. I've only got about $3,000 to $4,000 to spend, but I'm
hoping to squeeze about five good years out of this truck until I can
get a good full-time job.
rupie mccallum, skirt boy and deontologist "ar" true believer13 Jul 2007 07:02 GMT22
Back in the excellent thread "Karen Winter, impenitent
schismatic and bird diddler", rupie declared himself a
deontologist in his approach to 'ar', specifically
denying being a utilitarian.  That means he professes a
Wood Stove - distributing heat13 Jul 2007 03:57 GMT5
Every once in a while, someone asks about this.  While Googling something
else today, ran across this company that specializes in "indoor air
distribution".  For example, their 8" ThruWall TW108 160-200 cfm fan unit:

Whats the best way to get rid of rats?12 Jul 2007 07:01 GMT8
Whats the best way to get rid of rats in a barn feedroom?  I always do
my best to keep the feed put away, but there is always a few pieces
spilled.  I cant use poison since I have cats.  I also have horses in
the barn and I know rodents tend to carry feed as well as poison.  So,
"Changing Cows' Diet Could Cut Emissions"11 Jul 2007 01:39 GMT3
"Normally a cow's stomach is pretty inefficient -- 80 percent of food
ingested comes out as waste or methane. The average cow produces between
300 and 500 liters of methane a day, most of it through belching. "There
is a common misperception about how methane gets into the ...

They just announced on the tv weather report that we are having a
severe heat spell and we should not leave our pets in our cars.  I

smells like sewage10 Jul 2007 13:09 GMT5
Hi, we have a problem here with a real strong odor of sewage.  My
husband and I can't understand this.  It mainly happens when it rains
real hard.  We are still with the old septic tank system in the
country.  We just can't understand this really horrible stench it puts
Severe Bite - EMERGENCY10 Jul 2007 01:04 GMT3
I am visiting a farm and the owner said to stay in the house and stay
on his computer.  He warned me about the horse flys and said that if I
go outside they will attack me.  He left for work, and I had to go to
my car for my cigarettes.  The second I went out there I was just bit
Beans and Wash Day09 Jul 2007 19:10 GMT3
I made a pot of ham hocks and beans this week.  I freeze the beans in
quart freezer containers, keeping one quart thawed in the refrigerator.
When I'm in need of quick convenience food, I spoon out a big cup of
beans, nuke the cup in the microwave, and eat.  It's a 5 minute meal ...

because I am always stepping on them.......
How can I stop them from getting underfoot?

full throttle - give it more throttle then engine die. Already dumped the
old gas and replace with fresh - same thing. Any ideas?
