Moving from big city to small town...  anything to share?24 Aug 2006 22:13 GMT59
This fall I will be moving from a city of 5 million to a town of 45 000
where agriculture and factories are still the 2 biggest employers in town.
I left the farm when I was 18 so really I have no idea what it's like to
earn a living in a small town but at least I know what the ...
Composting toilets: Who owns one?24 Aug 2006 18:57 GMT20
Do you have one? If yes what brand/model?
Do the REALLY work and allow one to live on some land
and NOT dig a septic system?
Basically are they really viable?

Government at "work"21 Aug 2006 23:04 GMT4
State came along with a tractor-mounted sickle-bar mower doing the road
berm.  When the operator came to the approx 800' I'd mowed myself, he
did put the bar up.  But did he speed the tractor up? ... no, he putted
along at the same (slow) rate for the full distance.
Oo-ga!21 Aug 2006 05:05 GMT4
I was out in my driveway earlier, rationalizing why I shouldn't mow the

I'm not a tractor man but my friend Charlie Schroeder is. He recently
restored an International Harvester TD18a (a BIG job!). He told me the
story of his ordeal as he tried to scavenge and recreate old parts and

machines (2nd hand) for sale in Australia? I expect your wool industry is quite
a bit bigger than ours ....  Suze is thoroughly pissed off with the woman who
has done her carding for her in the past (long ...
