Yet ANOTHER septic tank question...30 Jun 2006 22:53 GMT12
It seems like all the "gel" dishwasher detergents have sodium hydroxide and
Chlorine bleach to some extent!  The bleach scares me, although the
containers all say "safe for septic systems."  Question: does anyone have
comments about the safe use of these gel dishwasher ...
Problems with New Deep Well Pump30 Jun 2006 12:24 GMT1
After 30 years of service, our old pump gave up the ghost.
The "well people" came out on a Saturday morning and fixed me up.   They
pulled up some 180' of pipe and put a pump from their truck.
So far as water delivery, I have no problems with the new pump.

rust water, how to cure26 Jun 2006 06:19 GMT18
We live in rural western NY state and in this particular area the well water
is very rusty. We have a Culligan water softener, which came with the house,
I'm assuming it's doing it's job, but the water is still very rusty. Is
there a whole house filter of some sort that I can add to ...
Bear vs Cat26 Jun 2006 02:09 GMT12
There is a cat of unknown ownership that I see around here ... which I'm
attempting to get to the place where I can get her to a vet to be spayed
and have a rabies shot.  I have seen bear avoid the area around the house
when they see her, but today is the first time I saw her ...
New to ponds, have a materials question...25 Jun 2006 18:14 GMT8
Ive been reading around on the internet, and finding that this seems
to be the place to post a question :-)
We've got about 10 acres of land where we live, and we'd like to

Looking for procedure on charging a non-blabber well tank...25 Jun 2006 14:55 GMT9
I have an older well system with a non-bladder pressure tank. I do not
have the option of installing one with a bladder since my current
system has the pressure tank inside the well casing. I have searched
the internet on the exact procedure to charge a non-bladder well tank

I have a problem with squirrels eating the fruit on my

marauders always manage to get into the yard and damage

irrigation question22 Jun 2006 21:52 GMT21
I am installing a 1 1/2 HP pump for irrigation but it won't prime and
pump.  The inlet is 2" and the outlet is 1 1/2".  I reused some old 3"
pipe from a pond to the pump.  The pump inlet is 5' above the pond
water level including a slight grade and 150' horizontally from it.

Septic for barn22 Jun 2006 16:27 GMT9
I have a small place out in the country about 100 miles from my house.  I go
