Helping ducklings to experience life...29 Jan 2006 19:36 GMT34
A duck is setting on a nest which she made on the float
at the end of a finger on a dock where I have a boat. When
I noticed her there I knew I'd be taking the boat in and out,
and it would scare her off the nest. So I got some black

I am thinking of getting satelite tv and was curious about something. I
don't want to put the dish on my house, but wanted to put it on an old
telephone pole aways from the house. Does the dish itself need to have
electricity connected to it (i.e. is it plugged into an outlet) or ...

On applications for employment i listed FFA (future farmers of america).
I get various reactions.  But what I don't understand is that a lot of

telling others that i was a member.
Rural Property Insurance28 Jan 2006 06:46 GMT23
Several of my neighbors have had their property insurance cancelled lately; others have mentioned large premium price increases (up to 60%). I think they have really tightened up their rating scale so that many more people fall into Class 9. We live in the Georgia farmland ...
Pellet stove caution27 Jan 2006 20:20 GMT19
Apparently enough people bought stoves in my general area that pellets are
in short supply.  And when they do come in, they're almost twice the cost
they were.  It seems quite a few switched from a regular wood stove to a
pellet stove for the convenience ... then sold the old stove. ...
River Bank , a Rght of Way removed.27 Jan 2006 12:03 GMT24
I have a few more questions, please. This is in rural Illinois. We live
near a medium size river. Years ago the river was "straightened" out to (to
the best of my knowledge as the process took place in 1920-30's) prevent
flooding and provide more tillable acreage. this left a very ...

Arsonist on the loose26 Jan 2006 22:07 GMT19
We live down in the Ozarks and have a major problem.
Seems we have a fire bug running loose and they are setting all sorts
of fires.  Earlier this week they burned an empty house real close to
us.  Week before they started a small forest fire.  And we are so dry

Hi folks - Anyone have any experience/knowledge with/of the
Czechoslovakian made "ZETOR 4340" tractor?  I bought one in 1998 and so
