Water hydrant shaft sticking in cold weather07 Dec 2005 17:38 GMT7
When it gets real cold, the shaft that goes into my hydrant builds up
a thin coating of ice.  I can barely lift it, or I have to apply a
torch to melt it.  Should I put grease on it or something? The ice
buildup is around the packing seal.

Hunting Season In Central Ontario05 Dec 2005 02:52 GMT5
Gun season for deer finished two weeks back with the usual results. Three
hunters dead, 18 horses and 29 cows as per local reports. The imported elk
population which had no season cull was also depleted by 6 as bleary eyed
hunters shot anything that looked like a deer.
Buying shells for gun question04 Dec 2005 21:03 GMT36
I bought a box of 22 shells at Walmart.  When I was checking out, the
register began to beep when she scanned the box.  Then the clerk asked
me if they were for a handgun.  I said they were for my rifle.  Just
curious, why do they ask?  What if I had said they were for a handgun,

Latinos do the labor04 Dec 2005 08:05 GMT3
America would grind to a halt if not for cheap latino laborers & blacks. The
average white cracker yank is to lazy stupid and unedumacated to be of any
use to society in general.
I can only hope and dream of the days when the supressed races rise up
Septic field repair question04 Dec 2005 06:55 GMT9
We are having our septic tank replaced, and the plumber is suggesting that
we also have a barrel installed in the septic field. The barrel is to be
emptied at the same time as the tank, which we have done annually. His
theory is that emptying the barrel (as well as the tank) will ...

Long distance mail box sensor wanted 01 Dec 2005 14:00 GMT2
I have a friend that lives a 1/4 mile from his mailbox.  He can not see
it from his house.  There are commercial wireless senors that indicate
when the mail has been delivered but none of them I have found have a
strong enough signal to reach the house.  Has anyone found one that ...
