| Good idea to stick new baffles in old tank? | 31 Mar 2005 20:57 GMT | 1 |
I'm in the process of buying a 40 year old house that has two septic systems, one which I'm assuming is a cesspool or old steel tank that has no baffles. I say "assume" because when the inspector came to look at it, he opened the cover and said, "This tank is illegal! I'm not

| Making a Rock Oil Lamp? | 31 Mar 2005 15:44 GMT | 2 |
I was wondering if anyone in this group has ever made rock oil lamps before? If so, I could desperately use some pointers. I'm trying to make one for the first time, but I'm not sure how big to make the hole, how large of a wick to buy, or what type of glass holder to use.

I have been reading some archived posts about this subject. Let me know if im on the right track. I just moved into a house built in 1965, with an original shallow well. After a good rain the other day my water has become brown and muddy. I currently have the hose running to ...

We are building a house that is about 2200 sq ft. The kitchen and utility room are at one end and the bedroom/bathrooms are at the other. We want to consider either installing two hot water heaters(one in each end) or a circulating hot water system. We would

More than meats the eye You may scoff at the idea of an emotional cow, but the latest research suggests animals might have feelings just like ours. Laura Spinney reports

| do NOT support decent AW over "AR" | 29 Mar 2005 00:16 GMT | 1 |
1. Because it's a BOGUS comparison 2. Because causing animals to live is not ethically superior to not wanting to cause animals to live. 3. Because. . .no matter how "decent" the conditions are,

My wife and I are building a new house and we are going to have the plumber install two hot water heaters both in our crawl space which is spacious. One of the heaters will be under the kitchen and service the kitchen and the adjoining utility room. The other heater will be

| landscape post for wood fence | 27 Mar 2005 23:49 GMT | 6 |
I've seen the 3"x5"x8 landscape timbers used for a round pen. I'm thinking of using the post for two small paddock areas. The spacing will be on 8 foot centers with the post depth at 3 feet. I'm wondering if this would be feasible. The cut seems to be center.

| I want to screw American women | 27 Mar 2005 11:57 GMT | 32 |
I'm a Mexican immigrant to this fine country. I think loads of American women are eminently fuckable. They're not at all like the ones back home - they're much better looking and more docile.

| Chicken Raising Co-op? | 25 Mar 2005 17:41 GMT | 27 |
A woman called me and wants 500-1000 chickens per WEEK. She doesn't want cornish cross, but something skinny and small. I'm not sure exactly what, but I'm working on figuring that part out. She doesn't know exactly what she wants either and she is rather clueless about ...

| Well System/Submersible pump question | 24 Mar 2005 19:12 GMT | 5 |
My water system just started acting up. Occasionally , the hi-pressure safety switch kicks off the system. After closer inspection, the pressure switch shuts off where it should (~75psi). Then, with the pump shut off, the pressure climbs to almost 100psi.
