| semi-truck for farm legalities? | 04 Sep 2004 12:38 GMT | 38 |
Over the years we've added some tandem axle grain trucks and finally a couple diesel-powered tandems to our farm. The diesels have been great and their capacity has allowed me to keep up with two combines much more easily.

| Wood stoves and windows | 02 Sep 2004 18:18 GMT | 26 |
With hot air heat, it's a "good thing" to place vents under windows. The room where I'm thinking of puting a (small) stove has a triple picture window on one wall, 11' wide, primarily fixed pane with awning ventilation windows at the bottom.

My house has an interior approx 20x40 cinder block chimney with two clay liners. Unfortunately, there are multiple problems that would cost more to correct than it would to buy an all-fuel chimney for a woodstove. (The furnace uses another chimney.)
