low-velocity hydropower 18 Apr 2004 05:54 GMT5
I came across this question:
"I live out in the middle of nowhere, and I lose power at the drop of a
hat. My house is right next to the Susquehanna river, and all the
kinetic energy going past my house makes just want to go off grid. Most
Have Everything You Need Delivered Right to Your Door!17 Apr 2004 05:54 GMT1
If you live in rural area and have to travel long distances to buy the
things you need, I can give you information on how to have basically
everything you need (except perishables) delivered right to your door.
You can even help your neighbors do the same and make some extra cash
PTO rototillers.16 Apr 2004 20:02 GMT3
Anyone have opinions (silly question...) about reliability/performance
of various makes of PTO based rototillers.  I'm looking at 60 to 80
inch width.

Gravity Pressure15 Apr 2004 04:11 GMT4
I made a gravity water thing for my chickens on the field.  I put a 450
gallon water tank (the kind that goes in a pick-up) on an old flat farm
wagon.  I put a 3/4 inch hose on the tank, then 1/4 tubing on the end of the
hose to go to the waterers.  There is 1/4 tubing connecting ...
Newbie water well question15 Apr 2004 04:01 GMT5
I've just moved into a property with a water well and am keen to make use of
it for the garden, etc.
I was told by a neighbour that the previous owners had the well capped at
some point and having removed the wooden cover I noticed that there's a
Ticks13 Apr 2004 15:40 GMT12
I think there's something called Kwell shampoo which would kill ticks, but it's
pretty strong stuff and is only available by prescription, I think. I don't
think it's recommended for frequent use.
brush clearing13 Apr 2004 13:35 GMT12
I have an acreage (12 acres total - about 2 acres for the house and
area around the house, and about 10 acres of fairly heavy bush with
large poplar trees).
I'm looking at different options to clear probably at least 5 acres to
Ducting a leaf shedder to a truck/trailer13 Apr 2004 04:36 GMT3
Has anyone ever connected a leaf shredder to a dump trailer with some kind of ducting to eliminate the pain of using a bag? I have acquired a Patriot Products Model CSV-3060 http://www.patriot-products-inc.com/products.htm#resgascsv
I figure on making an adapter out of the output ...
some questions on wells and septic systems12 Apr 2004 14:34 GMT20
We are considering buying a home in the unincorporated county.
And while I'm knowledgeable about construction and living in unincorporated
areas, we've always had city water and sewer.
We have no experience with these issues and wonder if someone can advise us
yellow star thistle photo - rosette stage10 Apr 2004 11:14 GMT5

just starts to germinate, and in the rosette stage?  I want to get a jump on

bacteria in well  - searching for cause09 Apr 2004 15:04 GMT3
I posted recently about needing to shock my well.  After being sick
for a few days I have finally gotten out to take a look at the well,
which I've seen, of course, but never really looked at.
It is an 8-10" metal pipe (rusting a bit) that comes up from the
When I first heard of the program below, I thought there wasn't any way09 Apr 2004 14:22 GMT2
When I first heard of the program below, I thought there wasn't any way
that it would actually work. So I did what most of you are probably going
to do and removed this message. But let me tell you, the people out there
who want to just give it a shot, you have the potential to ...
First Chicken Check09 Apr 2004 07:37 GMT1
My first batch of chickens has been picked up and I've been paid!  It sure
feels good.  I have worked really hard on these darn birds!
It has been a learning experience.  A few things I thought would work,
didn't work very well, but it was easy enough to fix it.  It's all going
Push rods_B&S Vanguard 12.5HP OHV07 Apr 2004 18:23 GMT3
Can anyone tell me how to differentiate between the intake and
exhaust push rods for the subject engine. They both seem about
the same length but one appears as hollow with a hole in both
ends. The parts listing shows a p/n 492229 for the intake one.
