barn roof advertising17 Feb 2004 15:32 GMT11
Is this being done anymore, advertising products on the tops of barns?
Since I don't see it anymore, I suppose it isn't being done.  Still,
might be nice to have a little more income, as close to two airports
as I am.  Anybody know how to go about this?
Home heating oil truck puzzle16 Feb 2004 18:28 GMT23
Have an underground tank and get a "summer fill" and then a part tank when
the level is low enough to hold it.  Driveway from road to the garage is
~50' and from there to the house ~150' more.  There is a circular area at
the road end for the mail carrier to turn around.  I don't ...

This is to any new owner, or is anticipating owning, a St. Croix corn
burning Stove:
Overall, I've been happy with the performance of my St. Croix Auburn
corn burning stove.  At the 'level 4' heat adjustment, I've found that
Paranoia16 Feb 2004 00:18 GMT13
Folks from the city move out into rural areas and demonstrate extreme
paranoia regarding the darkness and peacefulness of the areas.  They must
have lights illuminating everything in sight. They possess no perception
that they are destroying the tranquility of the area.  For several ...

Running out of gas15 Feb 2004 01:18 GMT20
I was thinking about trying an experiment with my pickup truck. I always
wondered how many miles I could drive after the gauge read empty. So I
would like to go out one day and drive until it ran out of gas. I'll keep
a 5 gallon can in the back to refill the tank after it runs empty ...
Question about Foxes13 Feb 2004 14:45 GMT19
I found a fox next to my woodpile tonight. He watched me for a few seconds
then walk into the woods behind my house. I was just wondering has anyone
ever been attached by a fox? I always thought that they were harmless.

My Dadgum Rice Krispie Treats Get Hard.13 Feb 2004 11:51 GMT7
I use Jet-Puffed marshmallows (10oz.) half a stick of butter and a
slow, low heat before putting the krispies in. They taste lovely, but
the next day they are like bricks, and just crumble, which upsets

Floor options for a steel building12 Feb 2004 22:37 GMT6
Just a question on steel buildings. I want to purchase one, either a
30X40X16' or a 40X80X16'. I don't want to put down a concrete pad to anchor
it. How do you put down a steel building without a pad? Do you sink 6X6's
like a pole building and attach to that or is the weight ...
