Only with a live Linux CD or a dedicated Linux box.
The recently released APWG Phishing Activity Trends Report for Q3 of
2009, details record highs in multiple phishing vectors, but also offers
an interesting observation on desktop crimeware infections.
Got my Harbor-Master07 Feb 2010 00:00 GMT11
Just picked up my Harbor Freight "multifunction power tool" today--for
$35 w/coupon. In honor of the tool it's a clone of, I'm going to call it
the Harbor-Master.
Saw the new models there, which are going for $49. They have variable

A U.S. study has shown that taking statin drugs gives people a 50%
less chance of dying from the flu. The drugs, which lower cholesterol,
are thought by the researchers to help the body resist infections in
the body. ...
Good quality garden sprayer06 Feb 2010 22:02 GMT9
Where's a good place to get a one galon garden sprayer? I
had one from Walmart, from some years ago. Came with a
bottle of Roundup. Nice yellow tank, black pump and funnel,
brass wand, great flow and delivery. And now it leaks.
Breaking a soldered joint06 Feb 2010 21:58 GMT27
Has anyone heard of someone rupturing a soldered copper pipe joint by
deflecting the pipe (e.g. to clear an interference)?
Just curious.

New Grainger catalog06 Feb 2010 20:12 GMT23
So there it was on my doorstep; a medium-sized but heavy box. Opened it
up and there was the brang-new Grainger catalog. All 4,130 pages of it,
most in 4-color printing. Nicely bound in a heavy cover that could
probably withstand any kind of industrial solvents.
Basement finishing COMPLETED!!!06 Feb 2010 19:07 GMT16
Sure, we are amateurs.
Sure, there are some areas that could be better.
Sure, it took almost 4 years to finish.
Sure we hired a contractor to do the drop ceiling. We know when we're

Dehumidifier specs??06 Feb 2010 16:15 GMT21
My neighbor thinks her knee pain is related to humidity.
To test that theory, I looked into dehumidifiers.
But I'm hopelessly confused.  About the only specs I find
are "pints/24 hours removed".  Under what conditions?
Bathroom GFCI with no ground?06 Feb 2010 11:53 GMT31
I want to replace an existing 2-prong receptacle in a bathroom with a GFCI
receptacle.  There is no ground wire going to the existing receptacle and no
grounded metal cable or grounded metal outlet box -- just two separate
wires, one white and one black.  There is also no ...

Pellet stoves?06 Feb 2010 02:17 GMT30
Friend has been extolling the virtues of a pellet stove owned and
operated by his relative.
He says that it uses about one bag of pellets per-day; which cost
about $5-$6 per bag. $150 to $180 per month? There are occasionally
what kind of material do I need?06 Feb 2010 02:11 GMT3
Need to figure out identification of materials which will enable me to cut
some figures from stuff with tin snips.   Need following:
1.  Something in 4'x4' sizes, or board lengths.
2.  Can snip it OK with tin snips.
gas lines06 Feb 2010 01:35 GMT12
Where gas lines cross you property edge, and run maybe 200' to the meter by
the house......
Do gas companies generally make you repair those lined between house and
property lines?
