I'm installing  a new toilet on a basement floor.  I lined up the
flange slots with the bowl holes and traced around the perimeter of
the toilet.   When dry-fitted It slightly rocks on the concrete floor.
I can remove small amounts of the concrete with a Dremmel tool.  Is

The door measurement is 31 1/2" x 79" so I'm assuming that the door I
need to order is 32x80? Also the current door is wood, I have another
exterior door which is steel, should I change the wood door to steel

I've stripped two of the screws holding the hard
drive in my laptop (apparently lock-tite'd, from
the crack! noise the other two made when unscrewed
in my best philips screwing technique).  (The chat

Turning on the ceiling fan started tripping the breaker13 Oct 2008 22:51 GMT16
Exactly what it says.  We bought the house in February.  Fan and light
worked fine.  In the beginning of August, the breaker would trip every
time we turned the switch.  I've taken the light fixture off the fan
to check for a short, nothing visible.  I've taken the fan off the
Does Rust Breed Rust?13 Oct 2008 21:58 GMT25
A question entered my mind as I was sprucing up my utility trailer. I
removed the strap hinges and closure brackets, etc. so I could clean off
the rust, re-paint, etc.
There are lots of mating surfaces where rust was present on both
Is there a difference between a deep freezer and a     refrigerator/freezer?13 Oct 2008 21:14 GMT11
Does anyone know if there is actually a temperature difference between
a chest freezer and a freezer found on top of a refrigerator? Also, if
so, is there an advantage to getting a chest freezer over a stand up

Woodstove "plastic" smell?13 Oct 2008 19:43 GMT26
We've had our woodstove for about four years now. Late last year, we
started noticing a "plastic" smell when we are using the woodstove. It
seems to be most noticeable when we have a hot fire going. If I damper down
the fire, the smell goes away.
