Problem with garbage disposer18 Oct 2008 16:07 GMT7
My 2 year old InSinkErator garbage disposer stopped working. No
spinning, grinding, no sound at all. I checked the voltage in the
outlet it is connected to and it is OK. What can be a problem and what
I should be looking at?
Mushroom in bathroom18 Oct 2008 12:41 GMT6
My wife discovered a mushroom in the bathroom yesterday.
We have a two-story colonial in a fairly most part of the country.
The mushroom was growing out of the corner formed by the floor, the
bathtub, and the wall.  It wasn't too big, but it's still worrisome.
Garage door trouble18 Oct 2008 01:43 GMT7
Our garage door goes down but then goes back up again. I know how to
adjust the down force and seem to have to do that regularly.
Now even that doesn't seem to help.
One other clue about the door. When it gets about half-way down it is
New Sump Pump Stored 7.5 years18 Oct 2008 01:08 GMT10
I decided to replace my still-working but aging sump pump with one (1/3
hp Wayne CDU790) that I got 7.5 years ago and kept stored in its
original packaging.
When I took the pump out of the original box, I noticed a small amount

Two years ago I bought a solar pool cover for my in-ground pool. 12 mil 5
year warranty. The one I bought was mfg by GLI Pool Products.
First year was fine. At the end of the second year it started falling apart.
There are little circles from the bubbles are all over the place and ...

eyeglass-lens falls out (even with bolt); for safety, epoxy?17 Oct 2008 18:16 GMT15
My lenses will fall out of my frames.
This is even when there's an actual BOLT (with nut) being used.
(This latest time: nut has somehow unscrewed from bolt (and
disappeared) and of course the frame springs apart and
HI AMP ELECTRIC asks Can you find a good reliable electrician or     contractor?17 Oct 2008 16:28 GMT2
I have been an electrician for 30 years working in all aspects of the
electrical industry. Most of us (electricians and contractors) are
honest, have integrity, and are dedicated to the safety of our
customers. I have concerns because of the troubling economic
Help with drywall texturing17 Oct 2008 15:06 GMT9
I've been running into a fair number of drywall patching jobs lately
that involve small patches to existing walls. While I'm actually very
good at creating good, smooth, even seamless patches, one thing I don't
know how to do is to match wall textures.
back yard tree17 Oct 2008 11:45 GMT17
I'm looking for a medium large shade tree for my back yard. I am in SW Ohio
and prefer a tree that doesn't make a mess (other than the leaves) and is
trouble free to grow. My back yard is devoid of vegitation, so this tree
would get full sunlight. The back yard is 75 x 60 feet ...
New window sticker adhesive removal17 Oct 2008 09:32 GMT19
We just installed some new windows to replace our 35 year old original
windows.  After installation I removed the stickers that were on the
glass.  They came off very easily and there was no adhesive left on
the glass.
Help with building machine.17 Oct 2008 03:37 GMT17
I have been seeing so many around me get rich by doing non-physical
labor jobs I need to take a crack at it.
I have some plans and need some help with the electronics of the plan.
I am designing a machine where you insert $1 and it makes $2 back out.
