How to remove LG washign machine front panel?20 Oct 2008 09:57 GMT1
I have an LG F1622TDGD5 1600rpm spin speed washing machine.   It has been
levelled but whilst spinning there is a very annoying and loud vibration
which to me sounds like a cable battering itself against the inside left
hand and/or front  panels.

installing laundry outlet--water hammer plumbing20 Oct 2008 06:22 GMT8
I'm installing a laundry box outlet with hot/cold copper supply lines.
I plan to put inverted "T"s close to the outlets with a capped end on
a short piece of vertical pipe.  Probably will be using 1/2" copper
pipe.  My question is how long should these capped vertical pipes be?

Where Tiles Meet a Stair Riser20 Oct 2008 03:07 GMT2
Laying out some tile. Carpet will be replaced after the tile.

Is the carpet typically fastened to the riser (glue or tack strip?) then
tucked behind the tile edge. Or does the carpet sit on top of the tile then
oops, I did it again...20 Oct 2008 02:25 GMT3
...that is, I started an "easy" project and it ended up being way more
work than I anticipated.

pulls and the gauge of the metal) Steelcase filing cabinet off
Lubricate with regular oil or WD-4020 Oct 2008 02:22 GMT90
I've googled this topic and there is two opinions out there.   Some
say use regular oil because it last longer, others say use wd-40
because it does not collect dust, which will gum up and create
problems.    Any ideas which is better?

Speaking of Joe the plumber (non political)...19 Oct 2008 22:32 GMT2
Does anyone know what's behind the apparent MAPP gas shortage? I had to
run out for a couple parts for a plumbing repair and was going to pick
up a spare MAPP cylinder and there are none to be found at Depot or
Lowe's.
prepwork for trim..19 Oct 2008 21:31 GMT10
I am about to paint the trim in my stairway.. It has 2-3 coats of
paint. I know the top coat is a latex paint, and the bottom is lead
paint.. I did a swab test and found it out.

Can anyone top this elec box repair estimate?19 Oct 2008 21:01 GMT2
I have a rental house that I had the electric service box replaced 20
years ago. At that time I paid $450 for a new box installed with all
new breakers and a new service gizmo for the meter to sit in.  It's a
100 AMP service.  It's on the outside exposed to the weather.  It's
Ranch Refresh 119 Oct 2008 20:49 GMT1
We have a ranch style house build about 50 years ago. The original aluminum
windows are all single pane and are badly worn out. The last windows to
replace are three sets on the front of the house which has a brick veneer on
it.
Ranch Refresh 319 Oct 2008 19:19 GMT1
We have a ranch style house build about 50 years ago. The original wall
insulation was fiberglass. I think it may have been blown or pumped into 2"
diameter holes top of each wall cavity. The insulation has all compressed at
the bottom of the cavities.
