| Clicking on phone line | 06 Sep 2008 23:55 GMT | 9 |
We are hearing intermittent clicking on a couple of phones in the house. The phones are cordless and it has been going on for about a week. A corded phone on the main floor is okay. It's happening on two different cordless phone sets (and brands).

I got the funny (aching) back, put cushions on the floor to watch the ball game or whatever on tv of an evening. I'm lower than a couch potato. I'm a floor potato. :-) Also in my second (and last) childhood. Fix supper, carry it in, eat

I have a 1929 dining roon table with 6 chairs. The table has a leaf that pulls out. Does anybody have any idea how much this would be worth? I am trying to decide if I should have it repaired or sell it. Appreciate your replies.

| Good stuff | 06 Sep 2008 22:19 GMT | 9 |
Where`s the good stuff? I mean mostly tools, hardware, and routine houshold things. I bought a hose nozzle at W.M. for $4.00 and it only lasted about 1 month. I didn`t expect it to be a real good one but with 4 hoses that

| Looking for Whirlpool gas dryer solenoids... google comes up empty | 06 Sep 2008 21:40 GMT | 3 |
I believe one or both of the solenoids in my ~10 year old Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Heavy Duty Super Capacity Plus dryer are failing as the system heats up briefly, then cools down, with a constant chatter from the solenoid area whenever the burner should be running.

| stopping leaks into basement | 06 Sep 2008 18:15 GMT | 1 |
well, it's raining here (no big surprise) and I finally have gotten a chance to observe the beginnings of the water intrusion into my basement, rather than coming home and finding a puddle on the floor. I've localized the water entry to two places - one, it's coming in

| Raising washer and dryer | 06 Sep 2008 18:04 GMT | 9 |
I would like to raise my front loading washer and dryer by a signficant amount, e.g. 30". I have an study dining table, but it seems competely unsafe to put them on top of the table since that would make them top heavy. However, what I were to fasten them to the

| Loose floorboards? | 06 Sep 2008 15:03 GMT | 4 |
The house Mom is planning to go see soon (not yet visually inspected in person) has a little more detail from a realtor. Aluminum siding. Appears in good shape, just needs washing. I take it that the stuff will be hot in summer and cold in winter, but fairly durable at

| Electrical Problem | 06 Sep 2008 14:56 GMT | 10 |
I have one circuit that has an open ground. The interesting thing is that it also has voltage between both the hot and the neutral to the ground, 70 volts from hot to ground and 50 volts from neutral to ground. The voltage from hot to neutral is 125 volts. There is nothing ...

| Fan motor starts slooooowly | 06 Sep 2008 03:15 GMT | 10 |
I've seen a number of older exhaust fans that start very slowly. Turn them on, they barely turn for up to several minutes, then finally speed up fairly quickly to normal operating speed. Can anyone suggest why this happens, and a way to fix them to operate properly?
