need good way to store files18 Sep 2008 19:23 GMT10
I have several files, about 15 of various types from small specialty
files to large ones about 14 inches.
Really don't like to put files where they rub against each other in
a random stack and where it is hard to find the file I need.
14 and 12 gauge wiring problem18 Sep 2008 19:19 GMT26
I know that you cannot use 14 gauge wire in a 20amp circuit because 14
gauge can only handle 15 amps, but I ran into a problem with my
bathroom remodel.
I have a huge mirror on one wall that also has a vanity bar  light on
Mulcher Lawnmower:  Bag does not catch Grass?18 Sep 2008 18:58 GMT6
I have a sears 6 hp lawnmower, for some reason when I cut the grass
the bag is empty of any grass.   Other times it does fill up.   I
admit I do often cut on a high setting, but it is still cutting off
plenty of grass, so I would expect to still see grass in my bag.   Any
Extending Reach of Expanding Foam18 Sep 2008 15:59 GMT16
I need to fill a hard to get cavity with the expanding foam insulation (e.g.
Dow Great Stuff).  However, the spray  tips aren't nearly long enough.
They're about 8", I need 24".
I know I can buy the tanks of foam, but this is a very small job.

In-house visit by a "Rainbow vacuum" salesperson18 Sep 2008 02:51 GMT92
We had a visit by a saleswoman who was trying to sell us a $2,000
"Rainbow cleaning system". For just listening, we received a gift of
some bed sheet and also a "gift travel certificate" from a company
called "Certs, Inc". (which is a florida based travel gifts company
Low Divided Kitchen Sinks & Cast Iron?????18 Sep 2008 02:51 GMT12
We have been looking at kitchen sinks and it seems a big thing out
there lately is the sinks with the low divider wall between the
sections.  I can see the point of this as I hate it when you place a
pan in a regular deep sink and the handle keeps it up on a steep
Changing Sand in Your Sand Pool Filter18 Sep 2008 01:31 GMT7
This is a step by step tutorial on the easy way to change the sand in
your filter.
1. Detach all hoses and place them back into the pool so you do not
lose any pool water
Crooked garage door18 Sep 2008 01:30 GMT13
Probably answered 100 times, but I can't find the simple answer.
I have a 2-car garage with a single door.  About 5 years ago, one of
my garage door springs snapped.  I had both springs replaced by a
professional.  Things looked fine for a while, but in the past 6
Fluorescent Lamp socket18 Sep 2008 00:50 GMT2
One of the bi-pin lamp socket is damaged and I need to replace it. I
bought new sockets but here the problem.
The damaged socket has three wires (two white and a silver)
Two wires, silver/white, are connected at the front of socket, same as
Weatherproofing wood with paint?17 Sep 2008 23:33 GMT13
I need to make a lid for my Cistern.  I plan on using some 2x4s and perhaps
3/4" plywood.  I am wondering if I paint this, will it take on any measure
of weatherproofness?
If not, how do i make wood weatherproof.  Also, without handling too many
MagicJack question17 Sep 2008 21:46 GMT30
MagicJack suggests on their FAQ's that to save power you can
turn your monitor off and shut the hard drive down within the
control panel of your computer. I believe they are suggesting
the standby mode even though they don't say "standby"
Touch light dimmer problem17 Sep 2008 19:20 GMT6
About 2 years ago I bought a plug in touch dimmer for a bed side
lamp.  It worked fine for over a year.  Then one day the lamp began
coming on by itself, at random times.  Usually twice a day.  So I
bought a new plug in touch dimmer.  It did the same thing.  I tried
No joint compound here17 Sep 2008 18:57 GMT15
When I was moving my washer and dryer to a new location I was
surprised to find *no* joint compound or teflon tape in two places
where I would have expected it. 1. The connection between the flexible
gas line at either end - the dryer and the gas pipe. 2. At either end
Furnace/Dryer/Hot Water Tank Space Requirements17 Sep 2008 17:55 GMT6
Currently, my hot water heater is located literally in the middle of
my basement which obviously is very inconvenient.  I am considering
moving it to a location that is currently between by gas furnace and
gas dryer.  There will be ~2-3 feet between each.
