Removing Gunk from Fuel Tank19 Sep 2008 12:53 GMT25
I am in Cincinnati beginning my 4th day on generator power - all of 3500
watts, but I'm damn glad to have it.  This is a generator that my father
bought in 1978.  We tested it when it was new, then it sat unused until
two years ago when it was given to me.  After a carburetor ...

I live in an old farm house that has one section of fairly flat roof, it
only falls one foot for twelve feet of run. About every third year I have to
haul a 5-gallon bucket of roof sealant up there and recoat the area. I had a

I have several of Magnivision Titanium reading glasses. They are by
far the best I've tried, and I've tried just about every brand there

Shed ramp question19 Sep 2008 04:21 GMT17
Due to the height of a shed floor and the slope of the yard, I need to make
a ramp that is about 6 to 7ft long.  The ramp needs to support up to 700lbs.
If I put the joists of the ramp 12" on center, can I use 2x6 PT lumber or do
I need something more substantial like a 2x8"?   ...
Sheetrock repair19 Sep 2008 03:54 GMT6
I have a finished basement, with painted sheetrock on the walls.  One
of the walls got water damaged a year ago, due to outside flooding.
The exterior problem has since been fixed, and everything is now dry.
The result, however, is a fair amount of minor "bubbling" on the
Driveway Floods19 Sep 2008 03:11 GMT6
Need some advise with my driveway flooding when there is heavy pour of
rain. The roadside gulley blocks which causes the rain water to flow
into my driveway. My driveway slops down which means its very easy for
the water to flow in. I've installed a drain that goes across my house

heat pump and copper tubes to air handler19 Sep 2008 02:55 GMT11
About a month ago we had problem with one of our heat pumps.  It was
blowing hot air.  They replaced the thermostat (it was calling for
emergency heat when it shouldn't), the compressor motor and a
capacitor.  Now it is not working correctly again.  It doesn't seem to

Looking to switch from Radiant to baseboard heat18 Sep 2008 20:04 GMT8
I am looking to update my heating system in my home.  I live in a ranch house

making gas furnace more efficient trick?18 Sep 2008 19:35 GMT46
I heard that adjusting the gas valve on my standard natural gas furnace will
