I'm looking at a Milwaukee 6509-xx (where xx is a number like 20, 21,
22).  Anyone know the exact differences between these model numbers?
Removing stripped wood screws31 Aug 2008 22:59 GMT11
My deck sucks.  The frame appears to be sound and sturdy, but the deck boards
are shot.  We believe the deck is less than 10 years old.  It's 5/4 pine, and is
not treated, or if it is, was treated poorly as there is no hint of treatment,
the wood is yellow throughout.  Several ...

Engineers and/or Construction
Can anyone tell me what is too long for a beam across two room.  The
beam is approximately 1 foot 3 inch wide and spans between the kitchen
and the nook area.  Remodeling was completed a few years ago.  I have
Home electrical circuit dead31 Aug 2008 21:12 GMT12
The electrical service to my house has a main panel with breaker
switches and a sub-panel in the garage with breaker switches for each
circuit in the house.  One of the circuits has gone dead and I can use
some help diagnosing it before I break down and call an electrician.
Stupid smoke alarm31 Aug 2008 19:11 GMT42
Why can't I cook my morning bacon without the stupid smoke alarm going
off? There is NO SMOKE! Just the smell of bacon. It goes off after I
have sat down and began eating. I do use the stove hood fan which
exhausts outside while cooking. Weak battery? They are a little over a
Dishwasher question31 Aug 2008 16:57 GMT4
I'm looking for a dishwasher to put in my bar.  All it will wash is bar
glasses, mostly lead or titanium crystal but I'd like these to emerge
spot free.
Ideally there will only be one control...START.  I don't need a number
Rustoleum water based garage epoxyshield paint31 Aug 2008 13:12 GMT1
Thought I would share our experience with this product.
We put down the tan color epoxyshield 2 part epoxy water based paint by
Rustoeleum a couple of weeks ago.  So far it is holding up to hot tires as
promised.  We did 2 coats and I would recommend two heavy coats.  We did not
Whirlpool refrigerator thermostat31 Aug 2008 03:30 GMT1
I'm trying to buy a replacement thermostat for my Whirlpool
refrigerator from my local Sears repair store.  They don't seem to
have the exact part in stock.  What they do have is a package that's
labelled as a universal replacement thermostat.
Portable dishwasher to built-in31 Aug 2008 02:41 GMT2
We have a built-in Kenmore dishwasher and a Kenmore portable
dishwasher. They are virtually the same, except the portable works and
the built-in doesn't.
I looked at the conversion kit needed, but I'm thinking about
Old Agway Riding Mower31 Aug 2008 02:02 GMT7
I have an old riding mower that needs several parts.  Searching the
web has come up with nothing.  It says Agway and Sabre on the hood
along with 11/36.  The model number is 320-58 and date says 0245.  Has
a Briggs and Stratton 400cc 11HP motor.  Its a ugly color orange and
MOLD/MILDEW IN KITCHEN SINK DRAIN31 Aug 2008 02:02 GMT2
About 11 months ago, I sprung a leak under my kitchen sink. After close
examination, I found the vertical pipe between the sink strainer and the trap
had rotted out, and the trap was getting soft also. I went to Home Depot (no
more hardware stores around here or plumbing supply ...
Semi-Gloss on Plaster Ceiling?31 Aug 2008 00:53 GMT10
Some of the home improvement shows on TV have featured either gloss or
semi-gloss white ceilings in homes.  They say that it increases the
illusion of ceiling height.  I like the idea, but my ceilings are
plaster, and have a lot of "character" (which some might call

The barbeque sized ones; about how much are they full and empty?
Range gas igniter foolishness30 Aug 2008 22:12 GMT8
We have a gas range that has worked flawlessly for many a year.
Now, on one side, when the front burner is activated, the electronic spark
igniter for the BACK burner comes to life! When the back burner is
activated, the back burner acts normally. The front burner doesn't spark at ...
