I have seen in magazines with shower that has a teak slat mat that sort of look like this: http://www.balconyinstyle.com/images/product/Thumbnails/601-1.jpg I assume teak will not rot? Is it termite proof as well?

Contractor used some good size wooden beams to span an outside Deck to help support it. Wood was the "Outdoor" type, so all O.K. there. But, the ends where it was trimmed to look good are of course bare.

Title says it. I live in CO and have a ductless home. It's heated through hot water heat/radiators. Problem with my swamp cooler is that it's getting my indoor humidity up to 70% or more which is much higher than the outside RH. Will opening more windows help the

I am about to install some batt insulation in an old ceiling where the joist placement must have been determined by the number of remaining boards on the job site. Meaning absolutely nothing is 16" CC. I am going to use unfaced batts as they are much easier to trim to fit.

After removing the wall on the jacuzzi, I have a better idea of what the floor is really composed of. It looks like there is a 12/16" or 13/16" plywood over the joists, then there is 8/16" or 9/16" plywood over the first layer.
