You can't make this sh.t up.
"[UK] Carpenters and woodworkers have been told not to use brooms to sweep
up sawdust because they are considered dangerous under 'ridiculous' new
health and safety guidelines. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) claims

Seems pretty easy, once leveled all all, I have only one stud behind
each of the two new base cabinets.
So, in the back of each cabinet one 2.5-inch pan head screw into stud.
Also to hold the two cabinets together,  three deck screws, two along
Tempered glass bowed (pretty urgent)21 Jul 2008 08:08 GMT9
I have glass guys at my house right now installing frameless shower
glass. There is a 90 mitered corner that developed a gap at the
bottom. I'm being told that tempered glass always bows and that that's
piece "not bad".

Dug well- electric *and* pitcher pump?21 Jul 2008 03:45 GMT4
I've got a dug well that I would like to put a working pitcher pump on
for mostly aesthetic/conversation purposes. . .  and would also like
to put a working shallow well pump on to wash cars & such.
The well is about 3' in diameter, and the water is 8' below grade- 15
16 x 16 slates at HD $321 Jul 2008 03:30 GMT4
Coming in from India. Fairly low quality, but the pricing seemed right.
Anyone care to say what they would normally pay for a 16x16 natural slate
tile?
I bought a couple of boxes, just maybe to use them as stepping stones or
Fluorescent light problem21 Jul 2008 02:14 GMT5
My bathroom light consists of a 12" ring with an 8" ring inside.  At
times it won't come on and at other times it works just fine.  When it
fails, a heat lamp on the same switch does work.  I have replaced both
rings but that doesn't help.  I don't see a ballast or starter but I
Proper BBQ Island Construction: Put LP tank under grill? How many     vents?21 Jul 2008 01:03 GMT10
I am a couple weeks away from having a company build an outdoor
island, and install my new grill (its a turbo elite drop-in). The plan
is for a cantilevered island, with two vented access doors centered
under the grillhead with room for the LP tank and a spare. The back of
boiler problem21 Jul 2008 00:43 GMT3
My hot water tank started leaking last night and my basement was a
pool of water.   I closed off the water supply into the house, as well
as the cold water tap that is right on the tube leading into the tank,
but the water continued to seep out of the tank all night long.  The
Toilet Supply Line Hazard21 Jul 2008 00:11 GMT11
In February the master bath toilet supply line in my unoccupied house
failed.  By the time the next-door neighbor noticed water coming out of
the house, all rooms but the front two bedrooms were flooded, and the
drywall was damp as high as 8" in some places.
Ideas needed to reduce noise21 Jul 2008 00:03 GMT12
I have a pool pump outside of the house, sitting on a concrete block which
is on top of a concrete pad.  During the day when the pump is on, I can hear
it in the room which is on the other side of the exterior wall.

Ground lighting problems20 Jul 2008 23:43 GMT7
Ok, I'm replacing the ground lighting in my yard and have a situation I'm
having difficulty troubleshooting.  Here goes:
I have approximately 30 fixtures, each with 20-watt bulbs (little quartz
jobbies).  I have a new 600 watt, 12volt AC transformer.  I've run mostly
Wood Fence/ Gate / Post Question20 Jul 2008 23:03 GMT15
My heavy wooden gate fell off its mounting, completely ripping out the
screw(Bolts?) that held it.
Upon closer inspection, the screws that ran through the hinges were
not sunk into the post (something like a 6''x6''x6foot above ground)
