Does anyone know where can I find rubber seal for Patio screen door?  I went

Basement windows -- glass block vs. awning24 Jul 2008 01:41 GMT7
Have seven old wood windows to replace in my basement. They're roughly
33"w x 20"h. I'm not a big fan of the look of glass block but do
appreciate the security they provide in our urban environment, as well
as their energy efficiency. However, the only way I'd even consider
Washing Machine Repair24 Jul 2008 00:45 GMT6
My sis's washing machine is malfunctioning, and I boasted that I could
solve the problem.
When there is a load of laundry, the machine agitates, but won't pump out
the water to begin spinning. This happens no matter what cycle it is on:
Landscaping - rock vs. wood chips?23 Jul 2008 22:50 GMT17
I removed some old, dirty river rock from the landscaping trenches
around my house, and would like to replace it with something else.
There are some bushes every few feet. I'm undecided between some type
of wood chips, or an some type of rock. My house color is tan.
Another Toilet Flange Question23 Jul 2008 22:26 GMT4
I am having some tile installed in a bathroom tomorrow.  The existing
floor is vinyl, so the floor will be raised about a quarter inch from it's
present location.
To save a little money, I said that I would remove the toilet myself as I
Pool light grounding23 Jul 2008 21:56 GMT2
Hi, I have a couple of questions about my swimming pool light..
We recently rebuilt a 40 year old inground pool. There was an old
light in the pool when it was new, deactivated years ago. The niche
was left in place and the cavity was covered over during a past liner
New House : Two Electrical Questions23 Jul 2008 21:27 GMT24
New to this group and thought I would give it a try.
We are looking at a new house and I wanted to get an opinion on two
things:
In one bathroom, the light switch is near the show. Is this dangerous?
instructions for concrete shed base23 Jul 2008 21:20 GMT10
Would anyone know of some simple instructions anywhere, to help a novice to
build a concrete base for a metal garden shed to store garden tools.  The
base is to be three metres by three and a half metres.
Amongst other things I would need to find out is what quantity of cement,
"chain" surge suppressers?23 Jul 2008 19:44 GMT71
Does anyone know if surge suppresser protection can be increased by
"chaining" two or more together?
For example, I have two power strips that have surge suppresser
outlets. If I plug one of the strips into the protected outlet of the
Could changes in humidity cause cracks in grout?23 Jul 2008 16:01 GMT3
I put a dehumidifier in my bathroom, which is the most humid room in
the house.  That one unit keeps the whole house less humid, and is
great.  If you want my recommendation, this is the one to get:

Who owns the rain?23 Jul 2008 13:23 GMT21
"Technically, rain that falls on your roof isn't yours for the taking. It's
a resource of the state, which regulates the use of public waters through an
allocation process that can take years to navigate."

baseman flooding...23 Jul 2008 13:05 GMT8
The water heater (boiler) started leaking water... We noticed the
flooding (it was just partial, 40% of a 4m.x6m baseman, partly
carpeted. We managed to take the water out, and sucked the water from
the rug using news papers (tons of it)
High-Speed Connection Questions23 Jul 2008 12:12 GMT33
Verizon broadband is now available here, but the web site doesn't
answer whether it's possible to have broadband and dial-up
simultaneously on the same PC.  I'd like to retain a cheap dial-up to
use as a back-up ISP connection.
