| No heat from vents : Duct work problems ? | 02 Apr 2008 17:41 GMT | 9 |
I noticed that, when the central heat is on in our house, two vents (in two bedrooms) don't seem to have any air flow out of them (they are the only vents in the room, so I don't think they are intake vents) . So these rooms feel cold. Other vents in the house seem to

My friends, it has been a bad year. My van broke down. Several friends have left me. I was in love, but it didn't work out. The trailer needed repairs. My computer finally failed, after so many years of use. The credit card people are calling me, all hours of the day. It's getting ...

I sat through a free dinner (chicken or shrimp) and heard a guy try to sell me roll-out multi-layer aluminum foil insulation (apparently with mylar in the sandwich). It is perforated so as to allow moisture through, and installed over top of the fiberglass/cellulose/whatever

| Waist more Energy Water tank temp set to High? Natural gas. | 02 Apr 2008 08:38 GMT | 14 |
Just curious if there have been any studies or experiments on energy used by a water tank set to high, compared to medium. I am just trying to get a feel, if its worth keeping it at medium, to save on the heating bill. If it's a matter of $50 more per year in heating,

| Strange sink faucet connections | 02 Apr 2008 06:41 GMT | 3 |
I have replaced many sink faucets but this one has me perplexed. I went to my mom's house to take a look at a broken faucet valve stem. I'd like to swap it out with a new wide spread set, but the faucet looks like it is built into the porcelain of the sink itself! The pop-up is ...
