SWMBO's new object of desire is a house that happens to have a foam
roof. Neither of us had heard of that before. Yes I did a (dare I say
google) search. But I'd invite opinions and/or reports of experiences

My puppy chewed two kitchen cabinet doors. Theyre about 20 years old,
oak finish. The only marking inside the drawers reads "excel". I've
called a bunch of places and no one has heard of Excel and they don't

Looking for recommendations for supplier of parts for old (as in 60-yr
old! :) ) Hamilton Beach stationary mixer.
So far I've not had a tremendous amount of success in small appliance
parts in general, so thought I ask if anybody here has suggestions

Personally, I choose Ace Hardware over the big box stores. Every time
I'm in Lowe's, there is no help available, and if they're available,
they usually don't know what you're talking about. Same thing with

A neighbor moved and gave me some old firewood.  Really old it seems,
maybe 10 or 15 years old, and it was outdoors in the rain all these
years.  In the fireplace, if there was a fire near it, a lot of smoke

I've been looking for a new house and a couple that I've liked have
pools.  If I got one of those houses and wanted to get rid of the
pool, what would be the best way to do that?  Just fill it in or
demolish it then fill.

What the best way to connect Cu  plumbing to a PVC supply line.
Pipe is 3/4 inch.

I have electric baseboard heat in one room with a thermostat on the
wall but the thermostat appears to be 15 degrees F off!  If I set it
for 55, the room ends up 70.  Is it reasonably likely that I can pull
off the knob and move it so the little pointer points to the real

I've heard about scoring the glass on only one side and scoring it on
both sides as the preferred way to cut/break glass.  I've done it both
ways. Anyone got any real insight into this matter????

Can anyone tell me if a professional woodworking shop can rip a piece of
wood measuring 9" x 2" x 8' down to a 9" x .75" x 8'?  Does this type of
rip have a unique name?
