Window Fin15 Apr 2008 04:52 GMT2
Can I use a sawzall to cut out a new construction window through the
fin (alum)?  I don't want to destroy the trim or remove siding when
putting in replacement windows.  Perhaps there is another tool that is
easier?
need help choosing a toilet15 Apr 2008 04:50 GMT23
I need to replace the toilet in an upstairs, second story bathroom.  I'd
like to get a low-flow tank to save water but I don't want to end up
with one that won't have enough water pressure to properly flush without
clogging all the time.  Is there any kind of minimum gallons per ...
Cats keep turning on light switch15 Apr 2008 03:36 GMT28
I have a shed on my farm where I keep rabbit cages and other small
animals.  When the barn cats are pregnant they get moved in there
because otherwise something always kills the kittens.  One (or more)
of the cats in there climbs the post next to the door and keeps

Ryobi string trimmer head not turning.15 Apr 2008 01:06 GMT4
The head on my string trimmer won't turn with any power.  I can stop
it with my finger.  I removed the flex shaft and it appears to be
unbroken.  I removed the shaft parts covering the clutch end of the
engine exposing a  round metal part that the flex shaft fits into.  I

My home recently burned and I lost everything. Because of the loss and

Travertine Tiles in Shower Good idea?14 Apr 2008 15:07 GMT3
My friend said I was crazy to think of travertine tiles in my shower as I am
planning to have my bathroom remolded.
He said that it was easy to damage and difficult to maintain?
What are the pros and cons.
Super II Pump Replacement14 Apr 2008 11:11 GMT3
My Hayward Super II Pump (dual speed) has died and I've been told to
replace it with a single speed.  Unfortunately I don't know what HP to
get.  My current says it's 2.5 HP (although the part number indicates
it's only 2 HP SP1620-Z-2-MBK).  My pool is 13,000 gallons, 5' at the

Bathroom wall coverings?14 Apr 2008 02:05 GMT3
I've heard of Corian.  What other products (brand names?) are there out
there that imitate marble or granite?
I would like to buy large sheets of marble-like material and don't know what
they are called and therefore where to find them.  The home clubs (Home
OK to air-nail 2x4s together on their flat faces?14 Apr 2008 01:05 GMT10
Can I use an air-actuated framing nailer gun to nail parallel 2x4s

I have a home business, and one of the tasks is to screw 2x4s together
to make one thick post. I spread glue on the 3.5" wide faces, then
Tile layout14 Apr 2008 00:37 GMT5
In my no tube small bathroom I have 32 inches from one wall to the
other wall and I have 12 inch ceramic tiles that I want to put on the
floor. I assume I need to put the 12 inch tile in the center and cut
the other 2 so I have 10 inch tile on both sides of the center tile.
