I have a 6' tall evergreen tree i want to remove.

Right now it is about 2' high & i tried to dig the remaining part out.
I am getting nowhere because the roots look like 2" in diameter & the tree

Hey Everybody,
I have a problem that I am looking for an easy answer to. 75% of the
windows in my house are painted shut. The problem is that the prevoius

Plz help (hooking up icemaker)17 Apr 2008 02:01 GMT9
I recently moved into a new house that has a water tap behind the
refridgerator.  The tap looks like every tap I've ever seen behind
household toilets.  That is, it has an oval handle and it has a male
3/8" hookup.  There is a flexible hose coming out of the back of my
Question About Adding A Bathroom16 Apr 2008 22:54 GMT10
Hi, Looking for opinions about whether the resale value of a house would go up or down
after adding a bathroom. I know, sounds obvious, but read on.
I live in a 4 bedroom, ONE bath older house. The bathroom is 6'3" X 12'6". The way the
house is laid out, I could cut the existing ...
Are we the only ones getting screwed ?????16 Apr 2008 19:52 GMT111
This may be off topic but here goes............
The price of home heating oil here in New Hampshire, USA just hit $3.799 a gallon, up $1.50 since
September.....  My question is, are we the only ones getting screwed here in the US or has the price
gone up as much in other countries ...
tub spout with diverter - leaking behind the wall16 Apr 2008 17:21 GMT7
Previously had a tub spout (with diverter "gate"? in it) to make the
shower work.  It didn't divert all the water - and made a whistling
noise when showering.  Bought a new one and replaced.  These spouts go
straight onto just a straight piece of copper pipe (slip on type?).
Which kind of deck treatment.16 Apr 2008 16:42 GMT1
As summer is approching (Hopefully it will fall over a weekend this
year in the UK) it is time to treat my deck.
We have just moved into the house (November) and the deck was a mess.
Black slimy mold covered it all. After much cleaning with deck cleaner
Mixing metals in water pipes16 Apr 2008 15:05 GMT13
I've done a bit of research on the subject. They say don't connect copper to
galvanized. Some sites say to use a dielectric union between then. Some say
brass can be used instead. I've seen dielectric unions with a hard copper wire
connected to both pipes - seems like that would ...
Table Saw recommendation needed please.16 Apr 2008 14:19 GMT17
I don't need cabinet makers grade.  I just want one that is a 10" and has a
fence that doesn't have to be dicked with every dam time to keep it square.
I have this POS rockwell I paid WAY too much for at an auction, and it just
has to go.  The fence is not worth the powder and shot ...
Metal roof shingles16 Apr 2008 14:05 GMT6
The one shaped like roof tiles. Epoxy granules on metal sheets.
Are they any good? Any one has it on his roof?
Comment?

Dishwasher install, electric question16 Apr 2008 13:24 GMT6
Looks fairly easy to install where I just took the old one out. But
the old one has two wires coming into it, one black, one white. The
instructions for the new one (hasn't arrived yet) shows three wires,
with the third one attaching to a screw on the dishwasher's electrical

Spark from ground wire normal?16 Apr 2008 04:47 GMT7
Hi I was just removing a heater from the wall, had the right fuse out
and I got a big spark from the ground wire to the screwdriver when I
started to unsrew the ground. Is that normal? No juice in any of the
wires now including the ground.
