To start, sort through your children's closest to find any clothes     that they are no longer wearing. You can use these clothes to sell to the     resale shop for extra money, or allow your children to swap the clothes for     their own selections on their own. By doing so, your children will like they     are getting new things that they were able to choose themselves. These funds     can go a long way in a used clothing store. Make sure that you make this     shopping experience fun for your children. Most used clothing that you will     find are only slightly worn, so your children should have a great time     choosing their own clothes at affordable prices21 Apr 2008 14:14 GMT1

Making a weather resistant door21 Apr 2008 03:53 GMT5
My house has an exterior door on the South side for a small closet
that holds our gas water heater.  The door is 24" by 48".  My house
is in Los Angeles so there is lots of sun, some rain and no snow.
When we looked at the house before we bought it, there was a plywood
Fence Posts21 Apr 2008 03:50 GMT10
I have to build a small section of wooden fence. I need to plant two
posts into concrete, I've never done this before. Do they go directly
into the concrete? or do you put some kind of mounting hardware in the
concrete then attach them to that? If they go directly into the

Flared fittings on type L tubing?21 Apr 2008 03:27 GMT3
I installed a heating  oil line recently.  Code required type L or M
(not refrigeration) tubing, and flare or soldered fittings.  I used
some 1/2" OD Type L, and in one place I used a flare fitting.  I've
done flares on soft tubing before, but doing this tubing was hard as

Every winter small field mice take up residence in my garage.
For two years I quickly got rid of them using Victor snap traps.
Last year I bought a an off brand of traps. I put out a dozen of these traps
and caught only one mouse. The bait was stolen from the eleven other traps

Buying a Foreclosure Property20 Apr 2008 21:12 GMT6
They are auctioning off some houses at foreclosure at the courthouse.
A couple are in my neighborhood and seem like good fixer uppers.  Any
advice on whether to participate and bid on one of these?
Removing stains from old plastic countertop20 Apr 2008 20:57 GMT10
I live in a rented house where the plastic countertop (probably from
the 70's and 80's)
is badly stained. The landlord will not replace it. I was wondering if
I could somehow clean it.

18 or 16 gauge nailer20 Apr 2008 17:32 GMT4
I have some 3/4 inch poplar trim that I'm putting on 3/4 inch stock
backing this weekend. I have both 16 and 18 gauge nailers. Because of
the style of the trim, I will have to be nailing pretty close to the
edges, so I think the 18 gauge would be the better choice. We had to
