Adjustable-pressure tub/shower valve02 Feb 2008 00:47 GMT6
All,
I currently have problems giving the kids a warm bath, because our
bathtub draws more water than our tankless indirect water heater can
produce.  If I could just ask the tub to draw less water, that would
Add a bath to a slab house??01 Feb 2008 23:54 GMT3
Naturally the only place I can add a new bath is the back of the house where we
want to add a 15x40 addition.
The house is on a concrete slab and has a gravity feed to the city sewer system.
Hooking into the current plumbing would mean a LOT of concrete busted up and in
Q: hydrualic effects of right-angle bends in PVC water lines01 Feb 2008 21:54 GMT7
I recently repaired a leak in my water service lateral (1" PVC to 3/4"
copper).  The fitting I replaced was hard to reach  without digging a
LOT more hole.  I got the copper-to-PVC adapter in well enough, but it
was damned hard to get the PVC pipes into the glued-up slip joint

Remove Agitator Whirlpool style Top Loader01 Feb 2008 20:38 GMT1
I've removed the cap from the top of the agitator (no comfort
dispenser) and can access the bolt, but when i try and loosen it, it
just spins anticlockwise with a slight grinding noise.  Basically i
can't get a purchase on the bolt to remove it, as it seems to be
Two Motion Sensors To Control Three Lights01 Feb 2008 17:41 GMT9
Would like to use two motion sensors (the ones sold individually and
not connected to any lights) to turn on three flood lights.  The idea
would be if either motion sensor was tripped the three lights would go
on.

Is this power strip defective?01 Feb 2008 17:15 GMT6
I just bought a power strip at Home Depot.  It has six outlets on it.
The instructions said "plug the cord from the power strip into any
outlet, turn on the  switch, and when the switch lights red, the
device is ready to use."
Dont buy Sylvania Silverstars01 Feb 2008 12:26 GMT4
I own a 2002 Volvo, the one that keeps your lights on whenever the car
runs. Problem is, in 5 years all factory lights have worked till last
year when I replaced one burnt out headlamp with a SilverStar. The
Silverstar has since been replaced with yet another silverstar, and

I'm trying to prepare for emegency situations, but I have no answer for this

a 2 story house with crawl space, surrounded by dozens of similar houses all
built aound 20 to 30 years ago. This is not a ...

Odor from hot water01 Feb 2008 04:33 GMT7
We have a rental house that sat empty for several months.  During that
time, I left the gas water heater on the "Vacation" setting, to keep the
pilot lit, and keep some warmth in the pipes during what passes for
"cold" weather in the NW.  Now there is a strong sulphur odor from ...
City water/swer, but home sewer pipe extremely high01 Feb 2008 04:32 GMT7
I'm posting because I;m having a hard time finding any stories with the same
situation.
Our house was built in 1929.  It's in town (a little separated from "Main
Street", but still in town; we're on a little dead-end street with just 6
RUST PROBLEM01 Feb 2008 00:49 GMT5
Thanks for all the help I have received from you all in the past... but
I now have another situation. In one of my bathrooms I have a plastic
type toilet bowl. It is porcelain on the outer part... but the inner
part of the bowl that the water touches is a plastic. I had been gone &
