Furnance filter replacement Question??12 Feb 2008 21:00 GMT8
I have a Lennox electric, forced air, furnance that came with the 1970
house I bought a decade or so ago.
It has some odd-sized air filter, the number escapes me, but that
never mattered much as it also came with two washable foam filters.
Radon stuff12 Feb 2008 20:45 GMT7
I posted awhile ago about the cracks in my basement and stuff.  Well I
finally removed the carpets and sealed up the cracks with a polyeurothane
based caulk.  I also used a Radon Seal (clear liquid based solution)  over
the entire foundation.
Bathroom exhaust fan installation12 Feb 2008 20:17 GMT16
Due to logistical reasons in my attic I need to route the new bathroom fan
exhaust duct up through the roof instead of out the side wall.  It's also a
shorter run if I go vertically instead of horizontally.
I'll be buying 4" aluminum ducting so when I buy a hole saw to cut the ...

Cellophane Tape On Shingles12 Feb 2008 19:04 GMT7

Not true.  Maybe the tape is designed to transfer itself from the
Mirror seeping black?12 Feb 2008 17:00 GMT5
I have a mirror in my bathroom and it is starting to go black at the
bottom, almost as if black is seeping into it.  It's starting to move
up the mirror which I obviously don't want.
Does anybody know the cause of this?

OT? Semi-catatonic Ebay vendors12 Feb 2008 16:06 GMT14
Ebay vendors are like the gen'l population. A few very good and perfectly conscientous. A
few definitely derelict and very irresponsible. And a whole bunch in between.
I bid on and won a little elec. keyboard. A power converter was part of the auction. The
keyboard arrived and is OK ...
Installing a GFI12 Feb 2008 15:34 GMT11
A simple task, I know.
The GFI in my kids' bathroom went bad.
I installed the new one.  When it's hanging out of the wall, it works.
When I push it back into the box and press the button, I get sparks
Recess light housing for remodeling12 Feb 2008 15:32 GMT2
I see that there are some recess light housing designed for
remodeling, so you just cut a hole say 6" in diameter, hook up the MC
cable, then push the housing up and it will lock into the ceiling
sheetrock with the clips, see picture link below:

Do I need to reinforce a trench in my slab?12 Feb 2008 14:22 GMT8
I had some plumbing work done to relocate some drains, broke the 4" concrete
slab and the trench was 2' x 8', but the main drain was located in a
different location and in order to reconfigure properly, the plumber
eventually made a trench 4' x 12' in size.  This is a pretty big ...
