The sump pump basin is not taking in water currently, or filling up like it should. I looked with a flash light to the bottom and I don't see any obvious clogs or something that would keep it from letting the water flow in the usual way. My husband has now drilled 2

First Question: We have a Oil Fired Furnace supplying our domestic hot water. We are finding little partiles of like rust/sand in the water. Is there a filter made for hot water? What brand is the best?

My understanding is that CPVC joints require 24 hours to cure. I know that my plumber did a joint and at most allowed 1 or 2 hours for it to cure. I am wondering if that will lead to just a slow leak or will it result in a catastrophic failure.

My garage door opener can open smoothly, but it only closes about half way - seemlingly encounters resistance - and then the door re-opens. I disconnected the automatic opening system and tried to close the door manually - it worked but I could feel resistance when pulling it
