I have serveral dull drill bits and can`t seem to get them sharp. Will
someone please tell me what is the best angle to start with when
sharpening a drill bit?          Thanks a lot

Worn-out 64-year-old old fart here again.
While descending, the ladder slipped backwards, but then caught
itself.  Result: a damaged piece of gutter and two bruised, bleeding
shins with big knots on each.

ive just fitted a lock to my front door however when i assemble the
barrel to the chassis (via the revolving round pin thingy) I cant pull
the key out.
if i pull the key out, i cant assemble the lock as the revolving pin

Is there any way to increase the water pressure in the toilet bowl after you
flush it..the waste goes down but there is not a water pressure that comes
out of the hole at the bottom of the bowl..Is this normal or can something
be done..Thanks

I have an old (1980s?) Carrier horizontal gas furnace in the
crawlspace next to my basement.  It has an electrically lit pilot

I recently bought a tub surround from a local store and need advice on
how to properly insulate behind the walls.  I have one exterior facing
wall and the rest are interior.  I plan on installing the surround
direct to stud with green board (actually purple) in the space above

I am trying to mount my two front speakers next to my LCD TV. But I
can figure out the best way to hide my speaker wire and connect them
to my receiver without  wires showing. Any ideas?

Just finished a big remodel on the house. As a result, I have to crawl
about three times as far in the crawl space to change the furnace
filter. Our furnace guy told me that I could install the filter behind

I never understood why people are supposed to make their bed every
day?  
Why cant they just make them correctly before they leave the furniture
store, so they dont have to be re-made every day?

Is it possible to tell if a roof-top AC still has freon in it?
Is there a gauge, or can I push a valve and open it a tiny bit and
hear if anything comes out?  Or some other way.  I figure they might
be empty already, and that's one likely reason why they don't work.

Regarding the wax ring seal under toilets -
Would you expect that if it is beginning to go, or has gone "a little",
that you would see water leakage only when you flush, or
all the time ?
