new water heater29 Feb 2008 22:31 GMT12
I have an old water heater (providing hot water on demand, not filling
a tank).  This water heater is old and inefficient and needs replacing
as it has started leaking and finding the replacement part is
difficult.

Does anyone know the best way to connect a multi-strand wire to copper

O People of the Book!?29 Feb 2008 18:16 GMT2
Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and
you: That we worship none but Allah. that we associate no partners
with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons
other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that
Motion Sensing Light Experiences & Recommendations.29 Feb 2008 18:00 GMT12
I recently installed a $20 motion sensing flood light that advertised
a 70 foot sensitivity range.  It turned out to be more like 20 feet
(at best).  I'm beginning to suspect that you take the advertised
range, multiply it by the price and divide by 100 to get the actual
green house :S29 Feb 2008 13:59 GMT5
Hey everybody. I'm a University student and I recently signed a lease
for a new apartment which is absolutely perfect except for one
problem: the entire apartment is green. Green carpets in the living
room, green laminate in the kitchen, green kitchen counter-tops, green
Dry mix concrete question.29 Feb 2008 13:11 GMT10
I've used the ready mixed in a bag and mix my own by adding cement to the
con mix. I usually get a better finish with the ready mix - smoother, more
butter. The con mix consists of sand and 3/4" or smaller rocks. I'm using 1
part cement to 5 part con mix ratio. The problem is ...

Too much advertising on this group now.
Of the last ten (10) postings eight (8) are advertising for non topic
items/subjects.
Thinks:  I'll delete this one from my news-groups.

A little searching on the Simpson website led me to some anchors that
may satisfy the inspector's requirement for anchor bolts on the new
sill plate.

Concept in concrete29 Feb 2008 00:48 GMT6
I need to pour three anchors (I'll call them that) for a 32' long x 12" wide
lean to metal awning.  The frame will be made of 14 ga. 8" and 6" C purlin
materials.  Covered by 26ga. steel sheets.  Corners 3" x 3" x .120" posts.
Three posts will go on an existing slab, the top ...
Advice on Rotating Electrical Panel28 Feb 2008 23:37 GMT30
I am remodeling the kitchen in my condo and need some advice with
regards to the electrical panel.  Currently, it is located on an
interior wall with access from the kitchen.  Seems silly to me, as it
makes it difficult to use that wall for anything.  What I would like
Hum sound from Spa breaker box28 Feb 2008 23:25 GMT3
I can hear it from inside the house. This GFCI breaker box has been
out there for two years and now it's starting to hum. Should I be
concerned? How to fix?
Plugged snowthrower28 Feb 2008 20:42 GMT8
Arrived home late in the day needing to clear the driveway.
Unfortunately the fallen snow, about 7" worth, had become super
saturated from drizzle and light rain.  My 10hp dual stage machine
clogged up with heavy slush in the first three feet while running at
