JESUS in the QURAN09 Dec 2007 15:45 GMT4
JESUS in the QURAN
The Islamic view of Jesus lies between two extremes. The Jews , who
rejected Jesus as a Prophet of God, called him an impostor. The
Christians, on the other hand, considered him to be the son of God and
Ceiling Fan is 'rocking' violently09 Dec 2007 15:30 GMT40
It's not flush with the ceiling, has about 1/8th inch all around.
It worked good for 3 months, now it's wobbling like mad.
I don't know much about how to fix or replace the box in the ceiling
the fan is attached to.

This handsomely illustrated volume will inspire anyone longing for
a quiet corner for contemplation. Part One explores how traditional
rooms may be furnished, laid out, and decorated to optimize a peaceful
ambience. Part Two provides advice on carving out quiet spots from
"Standard" bulb base:  E26 or E27?  Both?09 Dec 2007 14:33 GMT4
I can't seem to find a consistent answer.  I see so-called 'standard' bulb
bases called both E26 and E27, and I'd really like to know if they are one
and the same.  The reason?  I see fixtures advertised with one or the other
type socket.  I have googled myself blue, and stood in ...

dramatically transform the look of your home," says Callery (Right
First Time Decorating). For those ready to take the plunge into color,
Odd problem with Halogen High Hat - troubleshooting09 Dec 2007 13:34 GMT5
I have three (3) Halogen bulb based High Hats that I installed for
hallway lighting off of a single 110VAC circuit.
One of them (#2) recently went dark.  I assumed that the halogen bulb
had merely reached its end of life, so I went to replace the bulb.
sacrificial anode -- I'm confused09 Dec 2007 05:23 GMT14
I have a Whirlpool Flame-Lock 40 gallon gas water heater. It's about a
year old and has a 12-year warranty. I realize that  in a year or two
I should be inspecting, and possibly replacing the sacrificial anode.
But the installation instructions and use & care guide for the heater
AC power not at spec.09 Dec 2007 02:42 GMT11
I am having trouble with one 110 VAC power to the house. The line
keeps vering between 115 VAC to under 90 VAC. The house is wired from
the power Co. with two hots (110 VAC) and a netural. I am having
trouble with one phase (110 VAC) and the other phase (110 VAC) does
Dirty Kitchen Woes09 Dec 2007 02:37 GMT32
My fiance & I just purchased our first home, a foreclosure that had
been abandoned for over a year.  We're trying to get it ready to move
in by Christmas (please cross your fingers for me!), but there's still
a lot to do.  The kitchen is the biggest task of all.

Installing Window Air Conditioner08 Dec 2007 23:58 GMT1
Last summer I never installed my window air conditioner.  It was just
too hot in the house to carry it up from the basement and lift the
heavy thing into the window.  Now, it's winter, and around zero
degrees outside.  I feel like I really screwed up by not installing
Connecting PVC Pipe to Steel Valve?08 Dec 2007 23:28 GMT11
I am re-plumbing part of my pool filter system. Previously,
a 3/4-inch metal valve was threaded to 3/4-inch PVC piping.
The PVC piping has a PVC male adapter, which fits into the
female threads of the metal valve. I am replacing the PVC
New oil furnaces08 Dec 2007 20:56 GMT6
First a little flattery:  This newsgroup is one of the best & most
helpful.  Your help a few years ago re wiring did me a real service.
Please don't give up because of all the garbage you've been bombarded
with lately. This too shall pass..
Genie Garage Door Opener Won't Turn Off Lights08 Dec 2007 16:09 GMT8
When activated, my Genie garage door opener should turn on the lights in the
powerhead and turn them off after 20 seconds or so.
Several days ago it started NOT to turn off lights and I had to push the
light on/off button on the wall console to manually turn them off. Today,
How to replace furnace filter?08 Dec 2007 15:36 GMT4
We have a Carrier gas furnace installed about a year ago. I'd like to
replace the filter but need some advice. The manual that came with it is
very generic and not very helpful.
There's an existing filter in a "box" that sets on top of the furnace. The
