A simple garage floor cover31 Dec 2007 03:32 GMT9
My garage floor is somewhat unsightly because the concrete is discolored,
although not dirty or oily.
Sometimes I get a slight efflorescence on the surface of the concrete,
mostly after heavy rains. Therefore I am reluctant to put an epoxy paint on
Kenmore Dryer Problem  (Gas)31 Dec 2007 03:31 GMT2
When the drying cycle ends the buzzer sounds but won't shut off, I have to
unplug the 110 volt plug or leave the door open, in order to keep the buzzer
from buzzing. If I shut the door the buzzer goes off.
I am not sure where the buzzer is located but I am thinking of ...
Help needed - Wife has to go.31 Dec 2007 03:21 GMT6
OK, so I'm in the middle of taping the drywall in my basement.  Walls are
done with 1st coat and ceiling was next.  I was out last night with a group
of friends (the fellas) at a long planned Christmas break get-together.
There were friends, good friends, that I haven't seen in over ...
Outdoor light stays on almost all the time31 Dec 2007 03:17 GMT2
I have an electric-eye sensored light on my front lawn.  Over the past
several months, it's tended to remain on well after the neighbors'
lights have gone out, then in the evening come on an hour or so before
anyone else's.

return air register with filter; make it?31 Dec 2007 02:46 GMT6
Do they make a return air register with room for an air filter?  The
registers in my house are one stud space long - 16", and about 8 - 10"
high.  Thanks.
MILLIVOLT generator31 Dec 2007 01:44 GMT4
Anyone know of a brand of 750 MILLIVOLT generator that actually puts
out 750 millivolts instead of 583 millivolts like the "Made in Mexico"
ones I keep finding so that I don't have to keep going back and
replacing it as often, and, no, it's got nothing to do with the pilot
Garbage disposal wiring31 Dec 2007 01:27 GMT15
I am in the middle of replacing my garbage disposal with the
Insinkerator Evolution.  Following the directions, I removed the cord
from the old disposal.  Now I am stuck at installing the cord in the
new disposal.
Metal roof edge sealing help31 Dec 2007 00:59 GMT9
I have a fairly new metal roof (2 years old).  The contractor is no longer
available.  As my plumber had predicted, wind blows water under the edge of
the roof.  Roof edge is guttered full length and is 60 feet long.  Said edge
hangs into the gutter approximately 1 to 1-1/2 ...
Hardwood floors over old pine31 Dec 2007 00:40 GMT10
We are contemplating hardwood floors in an 1860 house we are
renovating. It currently has two layers (1.5 inches total) of pine
floor -- the rough-sawn subfloor covered by painted pine boards.
Everything sits on 2 x 8 joists (older style) set 30" OC.
Paint or stain kitchen cabinets?30 Dec 2007 21:35 GMT6
My cabinets are stained with a very dark stain. I would like to
lighten them up or paint them.  What's involved in prepping them for
both applications?
Thanks!
