retrofit patio door question18 Dec 2007 19:46 GMT3
I live in northern California and am planning to replace a set of old single
pane almunium patio doors with double-pane vinyl ones.
Option 1 is to go for the installation type that keeps the top, left and
right frames and only replaces the bottom frame. The advantage is that there ...

Source of high-wattage fluorescent w/ candelabra base?18 Dec 2007 15:35 GMT12
I bought a ceiling fan and light fixture for my bedroom and it has a single
candelabra fixture allowing a 60 watt incandescent. I had been planning to
put a higher equivalent fluorescent bulb in before the laws changed all the
fixtures to candelabra bases, so now I'm having ...
Generac Troubleshooting18 Dec 2007 14:16 GMT8
Utility power outage and the Generac 04390-2 (13kW NG) did not start

do you need one gas tank for each 2-cycle engine tool?18 Dec 2007 13:43 GMT20
I have a gas leaf blower that requires 40:1 oil:gas mixture. I have a 1
gallon gas tank premixed with this oil gas.
I'm thinking of buying a chainsaw (stihl) which requires 50:1 mixture. Do I
need another gas tank to premix with this ratio, or is it ok to just use the
Briggs and Stratton Electronic Ignition  Retrofit18 Dec 2007 13:33 GMT3
I hope to convert the ignition on a Briggs and Stratton engine from
points to Magnetron (electronic). The instructions that I find at the
Briggs and Stratton Web site say that I must remove the flywheel, but
it's not clear to me why. The generator that uses the engine does not
Snowblower stalls out when warm/hot?18 Dec 2007 13:27 GMT24
I have an old (25++ years old) Canadiana 10 HP Snowblower with a
Tecumseh motor (HM1001590130). It runs ok for a while but after I have
used it for a while (20-30 minutes), it wants to stall out. I can keep
it running if I engage the choke before it stalls, but it mis-fires
Grilling options18 Dec 2007 13:08 GMT32
I'm a die-hard charcoal fan myself, and wouldn't stoop to grilling on
anything else. But my evil twin was whining about all the time, effort,
and mess involved with charcoal, and actually used the g-word (gas) the
other day.

I have an old Ariens snowblower, Model # 92208 (5HP 20").  The belt
that drives the blower has broken.
Does anyone know what the spec on this belt is (so I can buy one at
the local auto parts supplier). More importantly, any advice on how to

Dirt/Rust Particles in Hot water18 Dec 2007 03:19 GMT7
I recently moved into a 11 year old house that has hot water radiation heat
and the hot water for the house comes from this source as well.  We've been
noticing small particles of dirt/rust only from the hot water, not the cold.
We are on a Artesian well and there is a filter on ...

record him. The police said they can't do anything unless I catch him
