Tightening light assembly31 Dec 2007 19:53 GMT3
Recently, I repaired an old lamp fixture. Now the 'socket shell' and 'socket
cap' assembly seem to have a little more play than they previously did.
Occasionally, they will break apart if the lamp is not closed carefully.
Any suggestions on how create a better fit? Just pushing ...
any important difference between a 120/240v breaker and a 240v     breaker?31 Dec 2007 16:30 GMT6
I'm installing a subpanel fed from a 2-pole 60A breaker over 6/3
romex.  I picked up the breaker (a Square D QO) and after I got home
realized it says 120/240v.  Is there any difference this and a breaker
that is just 240v?

Drilling holes in my kitchen sink31 Dec 2007 15:50 GMT14
I have a pretty basic 2 basin, 3 faucet hole sink, nothing special.  Anyway,
seeing how it's almost impossible to find a modern faucet that doesn't have
an aerator attachment, I figure what the heck.
Assuming it's even a good idea, how would I do that.  It's a basic enameled
grounding w/painted fixture box31 Dec 2007 15:39 GMT2
Hello -- Two questions about grounding a standard 4-foot fluorescent
fixture, fed from conduit.  The fixture is grounded with a grounding
screw and pig tail connected to the circuit ground wire. I expect that
the conduit is supposed to be grounded via its physical connection to

Replacement Bulbs for Fiber Optic Xmas Tree31 Dec 2007 10:49 GMT8
Anyone know where to buy Replacement Bulbs for Fiber Optic Xmas Trees?
They are 20 watt 12 volt halogens, with a reflector built onto them.
None of the stores seem to carry them.  I checked Walmart, Walgreens,
Shopko, Menards, and a few hardware stores.

casement window operator31 Dec 2007 03:49 GMT3
I have a casement window by Hy-Lite, and the gear mechanism is
